Valentino F/W 2025.26 Paris

To me, it has to do with the DNA of the house.
Gucci, being originally a leather goods house, offers more freedom to its creative director, because its fashion's codes are more varied and not so strong.

But Valentino is couture. Its codes are specifically related to fashion. Seeing almost the same collection we saw at Gucci for years is weird.
There might be archival pieces in there, it doesn' t change the fact that the spirit is not.

As a show, maybe one of Alessandro's coolest, along with the severed heads one and the William Blake - pink fog one.

As a collection, a big supermarket of separates, many of them gorgeous, but Valentino it is not.
