I know they say to go blonder as you age but I actually find this lighter shade aging on her. She looks washed out and a bit ill.

I generally like the blonde color on Vanessa. But this particular tone is just too yellowish for my taste. Hope she's going to add some lowlights and gets the base a bit darker.

Well, Tom Ford says to go blonder as you age. I assume it has to do with gradually embracing the gray.

^Hmm... I don't really agree with Ford. If you are going to dye your hair, why dye it to match your greys? Dye/Bleach it to a color that makes you look good. I still think warmer, deeper shades of blonde is better as you age, but I understand that white blonde is closer to grey. I guess it could make sense to gradually go blonder if you want to grow your greys out, so that you have a softer transition. But then why not get cool blonde/near grey highlights? No, I just can't make sense of it at all:/
