October's US issue of VF had an insipid and disgusting Polanski story by James Fox. I think the word "r*pe" was only used in reference to official charges. It was always sex, sex, sex, sex, sex. Had sex, unlawful sex with a minor, sexual intercourse... The phrase "demonization of Polanski" was even used. Gwyneth Paltrow needs to be taken down but Polanski? Nah!

Why would anyone ever want to be associated with Polanski, let alone put him on the cover??? What he did was vile and yet people still do not people call what he did by its real name, they lay the blame on the girl or say he was 'demoralized' by the press. Well, good, Polanski should be have his name raked through the mud for his actions. t-rex, thanks for sharing the bit about the October US issue of VF, I'm glad now that I hadn't picked it up at the stands, I don't want to support those who support him.
