I'm just at a loss for words. They went from a UN Ambassador on the cover, to one of the most, quite frankly, horrifyingly boring people on the planet.

The worst thing is, they could have really turned this out, but even Kim's own lack of personality is showing on her face - she looks so bored and zoned out. If she's supposed to represent confidence, where's the sparkle?

Eddie's cover, meanwhile, has me swooning. He's a truly handsome man, and it's just so simple and nicely done. That little tug of a smirk on his mouth as well - huuuuge swoon.

I think the only person i can trust in that industry for not putting any Kardashian on the cover is Steven Meisel.

at this point, i feel like i have to live (or decide not to by not caring) with her and her siblings. i mean they are on every single covers of tabloids in this country, every week. and you see their face at any cashier, or newsstands.

but it's only recently i realized she's been around since 2007-2008, let's say. and this means it took her time to be everywhere. at one point Paris Hilton was everywhere, too. but it was faster, and probably disappeared faster. but she remains a Hilton socialite. i dont know - when was Paris Hilton Vogue Paris spread/cover ? hilton is, i do believe, pretty much on another planet, now.

anyway....


i'm not shocked any longer to see her. i don't want to vomit (i mean it's not the Paper cover, guys!) ... i don't feel anything really.

i don't like the styling for the cover with shirt and belted at the waist. i mean: get dressed, already ! there's already one lingerie cover, with kim eating a cupcake or whatever... the second leg-bare cover was not necessary.


i feel her stylist, or whoever styled the cover, is doing a good job. the one with leather jkt and giga-tight black skirt is pretty much how i see kim kardashian in 2014 - and it seems for another year. not real change in her style.
~ not saying i like it, but alaia/leger style is good for her bottom - a piece of "art" i don't really appreciate. is there any good pictures of her derriere... btw ?


and i enjoy the elle man cover.

You're quite right. Paris Hilton's popularity wasnt really that long, thank God. I was fine with it as the majority of the HF industry still avoided her, mainly due to her cheap style. With Kim it not only feels like it's been a decade, but she's literally filling every crack of the average person's world! It's impossible to be oblivious of her, whoever you are. This is undoubtedly due to the expansion of the internet and her hf ties (read: Kanye!). I never thought she'd book any credible title in Britian. There's a great degree of decorum attached to most of them, at least the ones that matters! Now we have Elle, and next month it's Vogue Australia. Where will all this end? What was Lorraine thinking??

i just can't with her. Kim's only redeeming quality is that she's clearly a successful businesswoman. but her entire business empire exists only to make her more and more famous and more and more rich. it contributes literally NOTHING of any value to the world. so - to me - she is an entirely useless public personality, a completely unworthy cover-story, and is fascinating only in the manner in which she unintentionally demonstrates the depths of greed and self-obsession in current popular culture.

You could also say exactly the same of numerous world dictators - people hate on them all day long but they don't back down - so I wouldn't say it's a ringing endorsement.

Quite a thin issue as you'd expect for a January issue, I had a quick leaf through a copy earlier today. From what I can recall, Kim only had four pictures inside the issue, giving the impression time was precious and the shoot went by extremely quickly. I was surprised at how decent the fashion stories looked, actually. There was a one with Jacquetta Wheeler and another with Ava Smith. No freebies this month but I did notice an advert for Elle's Runway Edit supplement which will come next month. I still wasn't compelled enough to make a purchase today, though. UK Elle still has a lot of making up to do!

Jacquetta looks spectacular. I actually like the styling and sideblown hair as well. The eds so far looks good, indeed better than most of the other January issues. Couldnt be bothered to read Kim's story. That butt shot though. There is such a thing as too much! I'm fed up with glossies constantly shoving Kim's **** in my face!
