Vanity Fair March 2008 : The Hollywood Issue by Annie Leibovitz

I have to say that cover was a "full on Monet!" It looked great far away but up close it looks a little, well, boring.

I agree. Upon closer inspection the styling does not suit Amy at all, and Jessica Biel just looks dead.

Also, I can see why it seems unfair that the swimsuit-clad Zoe is surrounded by a sea of fully-dressed women, but notice how all of the attention goes straight to her? She looks like a goddess compared the rest of the girls.

Meanwhile, as excited as I am to see fellow Canadian Ellen Page on the cover, why is she so hunched over? Perk up girl!

And finally, one note to VF: One large-brimmed hat a year is enough.

Here, here! I don't think it was at all intentional to have Zoe dressed in the suit while everyone else had dresses on. Besides- those legs! They are totally fierce. I think Ellen was going for the fashionable 'I'm too skinny to stand fully upright' pose that people think is popular in fashion magazines. It doesn't work while sitting though, someone should have told her.

:blink::blink:....
she isn't even blond....

but i'm happy for her about everything she's about to do in Hollywood...
and maybe you'll see Guillaume Canet soon....
he's a good actor/director and such a hottie....

There are two photoshoots not featured in the video, since the earlier article mentions 11 scenes being photographed.

Seth Rogen in North by Northwest and the other is Gwyneth Paltrow in ??

(I'm guessing To Catch a Thief or Notorious)

Strangely, Naomi Watts is signed on to star in a remake of The Birds...

^
maybe Robert Downey jr. with Gwyneth? He's not featured in the video either.

Renee Zellweger is actually doing Vertigo. I know the video credits her as Rear Window, but I was watching an entertainment show tonight and they said she was doing Vertigo. That seems to make more sense since Rear Window is already being done.

IMO the best "north by northwest" tribute photo was already done years ago: Hugh Jackman by Martin Schoeller

Yes the Hugh photos were very nice. Were they for Entertainment Weekly? I can't remember.

Well, what have we here...:innocent:
