Ha, I predicted Vogue US but Radhika snatched her first.

She looks.. sleepy? I wish it was a more present shot because the styling and the background work for me; it's very clean, but glamorous.

The only signs that this cover wasn't made during the time of Graydon Carter is the dialing down of any sense of expensive Hollywood glamour and the omission of the word "Trump" repeated twenty times in a fancy font.

What a way to introduce a new face to the magazine public - run cover with her looking half asleep in styling which resembles sleepwear. I don't know who this girl is and based on what I see here I have no inclination to find out.

People always love to romanticise the 20s in the most superficial ways, lol. I've lost count of the amount of 20s-themed New Year parties I saw advertised in my area. For them, it was all flappers, feathers and Josephine Baker twirling around in a banana skirt when in actual fact the reality wasn't much different to the 40s really. The 20s were responsible for Emperor Hirohito and the Austrian with the toothbrush moustache and for that they don't deserve to be glorified.

As for the photo, I don’t think it’s a terrible shot by any means, but it’s a bit On the dull side and looks *exactly* like a Graydon Carter era cover.

Ana is gorgeous and will star in 007: Why not use that as inspiration? From this shot it looks more like she's going to be in a low budget modern version of the the Sleeping beauty for some television channel.

Always down for seeing someone new on magazine covers and I'm extremely excited for the upcoming James Bond movie but this is one weak cover for the gorgeous Ana de Armas! I saw this on Instagram and genuinely thought it was some random international edition of Vanity Fair.

First VF cover I liked in years - this would be a gorgeous Vogue cover! I went to her Instagram and was pleasantly surprised by the notion of classy behaviour and aesthetics, and not that goofy pattern seen in a lot of young celebrities (which was discussed here earlier). A breath of fresh air!

Really don't get why she book so much work. It seems the image used for the cover was the best option because there's nothing better in the editorial.

The Edit does way better work on a weekly basis.

Bond is british, so maybe Edward will put her on the cover. You're right @tigerrouge, I never have seen DT's name on the cover of Vanity under Radhika, the previous editor was obsessed with him (and photoshop). Any cover is great comparing to that infamous january cover of 2018

Not Really. Radhika's VF may not be as obsessed as Graydon's VF, but Trump and news about him are still present in this Magazine. She knows her readers well.

Could someone clarify, as internet wasn't helpful this time: is there such thing as Vanity Fair UK (Wikipedia says so)? I just bought a copy of this issue and the prices on the cover are shown in British pounds. Checking the masthead, I got the notion that the magazine was printed in the Kingdom, and not the States (although there's Radhika's name etc.).

So could it be that the export edition is printed and regulated in the UK or there is a version of the mag adjusted for the UK and non-US market?

Yes, there's a VF UK. Is like Vogue Mexico and the Latam edition, 95% the same articles every edition.
