Versace F/W 2005.06 Milan

Not really my style, except for the black suit posted at the start, but Versace is always glamourous and hot.

I'm Really In Love With This Collection, Donatella Said That Will Be Different By The Others, And In Fact, That's It!
I Was There The Night Of The Show! Was There Liz, Missy Elliot And Other, Donatella Did 2 Show, May Because The Place It's Not Enough Big For All The Guest.. But.. My God, Was All Amazing, Even The Make Up! The Models Seems So 'candy' Very Barby Like Donatella!very Very Nice!!

thats some impressive show!more interesting than last year but still plenty of sex appeal
julia s just suits the mood of the show perfectly:flower:
another thing i like about versace is that the models always look edible(no offence to those without a sense of humour:innocent: )

I think she outdid herself...This collection had the perfect balance of what Versace stands for and then wearability...I hope this collection does well at retail...!

i still dont think the daywear is anything different
all that she seems to have done is not include those HIDEOUS prints she normally does.....and taken away the stupid medusa belts and accesories
the cuts are all exactly the same

It's a nice step forward, The coats and jackets look cool, but I'm not sure about all those tight outfits...I never liked them....But the smaller dresses look really cute, I like those too...And once again I don't like the evening dresses, so tacky and tasteless...

you may not like versace but you have to admit! donatella just outdid herself! that is SO TRULY VERSACE! but i mean 'the versace' of gianni! he would be so proud that she finally gets back on the right way!! the cuts, the COATS, the color palette, the DAYWEAR (which was like 80% of the collection!!) - assolutamente meraviglioso! SPLENDIDO!!!

It's definitely a good improvement, but still it's not great. It's just better than her usual crap.

Its the old sh*t undergoing a slight makeover but still old and "cheap"

It's a nice collection. Not great but certainly not bad. Kinda reminds me of Versace fall 2003.

I actually really like this jacket:heart:

not so suprised to hear about liz hurley however.....that woman will go to the opening of an envelope given the chance
!

to be fair, Liz hurley has a long standing relationship and association with Versace

this collection is very good...surprisingly good, because i haven't liked a versace collection in a long time. the black pieces in brian's first post on this page, and the 5th post are very nice. i know they're known for their dresses, but i don't really like many of these, except that last black one on daria...

the review on style.com is hailing this as the "return of versace..."

Donatella Versace's quest to reenergize her company began in a great place for fall; whatever spirit had gone missing over the past few years was symbolically retrieved by the fact that she made her models look like modern goddesses. The aura of glamour that sparked off the flying hair and luminous faces of Carmen Kass, Daria Werbowy, Eugenia Volodina, and Karen Elson was a strong reminder of what once made Versace electrifying. And that a show can be something more exciting than watching a few wan girls walk listlessly up and down a runway.

As the world knows, Donatella is back from rehab, and the effect on her work is visible. In a mood to clean up and face reality, she's pared down the clothes and focused 85 percent of her collection on daywear. That essentially means a streamlined version of Versace classico, with most of the clanking Medusa gilt stripped off. Not that the sex factor has been censored out altogether. Versace coats come with a nipped waist and a voluptuous shawl collar, and swingy skirts and boot-leg pants are seamed to present a rock chick's back view in the most provocative way on earth. Apart from a couple of tightly draped jersey print dresses, the plain colors (white, turquoise, lime, and fuchsia) let the quality of the cut and fabric do the talking.

The usual mind-numbing lineup of Versace gowns was confined to five stunning dresses from the Atelier collection, each outstanding—especially the one in fluid black and dark-green chain mail patterned in whorls, on Daria. It was a worthy reminder of the great old days that would have made her brother proud.

I ADORE it!!!!!!!!!!!!!
thank God, Versace is back!
I particulary don't wear that kind of style, because it is for older persons (some pieces), and you need a certain life style too
I'm more of a "chloé gal"
But I always loved Versace, because of everything, teh models they choose, their campaigns, the lights, the makeup, the hair, and even though you don't like the style, you have to admit that they have like a different woman than other brands, you know, the have like the "versace woman", and you can recognize it from miles away
the whole collection was perfect, i can't wait to see the whole show at ftv...carmen is beautifull
teh evening dresses were perfect
I'm glad

Personally I love the green outfit (sweater and skirt) as well as the pink dress, and blue coat, and I'm not a fan of blue at all!
yes it's the same, but some pieces I could so see myself wearing!

I love the daywear, so consumable, but when she segwayed into tighter and darked it was just...so done.

BTW

Dear god, Donnatella, please stop it with that halter leg baring slit dress that makes it 5x over into every Atelier and PaP collection. It's not a Versace signature like you think it is.

Why can't it be a Versace signature...
