Versace F/W 2021.22 Milan

I was expecting worse, I enjoyed the presentation and the "Sweet Escape" runway...the overuse of that new pattern made my eyes hurt though.

It did repulse me considerably less than last season's orgy of bad taste. They should have considered other head coverings apart from those lame headscarves, berets or crochet caps would have been a sharper look.

Mica looks so much better with straight hair, who knew!

The collection considering the actual climate of fashion is decent to me but not Versace , The looks on Adut and Anok with the new pattern and the following one who introduce this new design from the house scream Tisci Burberry to me it's very confusing , even the styling and the shape of the clothes make no difference to something Riccardo could have produce .

Beside that , the presentation was fun sexy and I really enjoyed it. Nice casting I like the fact that the didn't go for to many models.
Gigi opening weak opening , nothing against her but she should practice it was not striking her sister Bella looked miles better and her solo close up would have been a better opening and cameos with Rianne and Mica lovely. Also love Precious Lee soi powerful and sexy she looked FABULOUS ! they did a great job because the clothes looked elegant on her that how you models for bigger size , last season overrated Jill and Alva Claire did not look great...

Was that Mica walking second after Gigi? Man! She looks great with her hair like this.

Hell yeah Mica is way better with long straight hair but apparently they all blind to ask her to keep that look

I actually thought this was Fendi....

She looks great in both but from what I know, she likes her natural bouncy shorter/wavy hair.

Sorry I didn't express myself right I said straight hair because that was the hairstyle of the show but I meant longer hair , it elevate her compare to her classic signature haircut

Actually after watching the video. The clothing looks better in motion.

I think it's a move in the right direction. it didn't just feel like an endless parade of products.

I love the monochromatic mini dress looks and the multi girl outing. A great ode to Gianna Versace and those pieces feel the nostalgic but are current.

Lots of separates and pieces that one can really integrate into their existing wardrobe. With that said, it's still forgettable.

I don't hate it, It's going in the right direction for me!

Just tone down the print usage a bit and let's fix that menswear into something distinguishable!

A spicy Meisel campaign would really elevate this for sure.

I actually found this collection extremely refreshing from Donatella, which makes so happy to say as her last few collections have been bleak from my point of view. I really enjoyed the pops of colour, some of the prints (which definitely do feel like Prada/Miu Miu Fall 2012 but still liked it), and the cuts of the dresses near the end. It felt sexier and more polished, which was greatly appreciated. Also the casting was spot on, probably would have switched out Gigi for another model to open/close but I know Donatella really likes her so whatever. Also very happy Kendall was not a part of the show +++

Who decided to put the Goyard logo on this Versace collection?

Tbh, the collection is very now. And by being very now (things that are selling well across all the brands), it’s also very boring and products oriented. So it’s a glorified trunk show with enough entry-level priced products to assure healthy sales for the next year.

What saved this was the production! It was entertaining and fun!

For all the brands claiming their inclusion of bigger girls, this is how you dress a fuller body! Precious is stunning and her body is flattered in the most beautiful way!

There’s like 1 good menswear look and maybe some good pieces in womenswear.

It's all very very Tisci with a Goyard print. It lacks sex but Im not mad at it, compared to the trash Donatella usually sends out.
She calls herself an 'artist' now on Instagram by the way, I thought you all should know. Also, Gigi sucks.

Another forgettable Versace collection. After Gianni's death they should have stopped doing rtw and focus on accessories or just fill boutiques with updated archival pieces. I wonder why Donatella insists on designing when she lacks both talent and vision. I liked the idea of Tisci at Versace but now that it belongs to Kors and the main aim is to make quick cash I cant see it being any different than Burberry.

There´s a HUGE problem when even their H&M collection looked more Versace and luxurious, than this new collection from their main line!

It´s so obvious the design team here does not have the faintest idea about Gianni Versace DNA...

I'm guessing because it still sells?

Yes, the posts here ring that it is definitely Versace because this house has always been about hits and misses, taking risks and pushing the boundaries. I do not know if anyone here remembers Donatella's Autumn/Winter 2002/2003 Haute Couture collection but that one looked slightly like Thierry Mugler! So it is actually not the first time the brand kind of turns out to play someone else a little bit. Nevertheless, many of the patterns look very similar to patterns in Versus Autumn/Winter 2003/2004 and Spring/Summer 2004 fashion shows so the foundation is definitely old Versace's codes and DNA. It is only that the end result turned out to deceptively impersonate other brands mentioned here. :-)

I cannot say I like this but it is not a wrong direction considering the circumstances. The situation at Dior is a lot more tragic anyway...

It's corporate as hell, but one of the more tasteful outings from Donatella in recent times. A lot of the stuff looks better up close, and I think once taken apart the pieces will undoubtedly look stronger. I'm also not at all mad at the Prada F/W 2012 similarities either (this despite the obvious Fendi-ness of the logos this time around), despite the fact that I wasn't a fan of Miuccia's pattern mania nine years ago (wow...really, already?).

And I have to say, despite my initial impressions, the Spring looks come across very well in recent editorials and once separated they definitely look a lot classier.

Looks like it's "inspired" by Tisci/Burberry!?!!? And Goyard/Fendi monogram??!!?! Oh...

The monogram didn't work for Burberry, and Versace doesn't need it. I hope to see it only this season.

FENDI WANNA BE?
LOL...THIS DEF HAPPENS WHEN VERSACE BECOMES PART OF MICHAEL KORS FAMILY

Frankly this is refreshing. I got tired of watching Donatella compete with her brother (and fail every season). This, at least, honors Gianni's heritage and TBH Versace should've been a heritage brand since Gianni passed. It should've always been a logo brand with haute couture. I might actually buy Versace now, I always avoided it bc Donnatella tried to compete w/ Gianni.

It must hurt donnna that her contribution to versace was wiped away like a chalkboard.
