Adriana looks gorgeous as expected! Not sure how I feel about how they faded her out while amping up the colors in the background though.

She herself definitely looks good...makes me wonder why she never had a Versace campaign in the early 2000s

I know, right? Never understood that either. She's like Versace personified. Since Donatella personally picked her for this, I hope we will see her for Versace mainline in the future.

Adriana is so so perfect for Versace that it's really strange that this is her first campaign for the brand. She looks gorgeous of course and I hope we see her in campaigns for the mainline soon!

Some clothes are from the 90's? I'm not sure about the campaign.

Yes, it was inspired by a past collection. Ran through Google Translate:

And filled with an iconic collection of history and details, Riachuelo prepares to launch the Versace line for Riachuelo, which was closely followed by Donatella Versace itself. The top model Adriana Lima, face of the campaign, will travel to Brazil for a special parade in Ibirapuera Park on November 6, as part of the program of São Paulo Fashion Week, followed by a party that will seal the success of the first international collaboration of Riachuelo.

Brazilian retailer has released several collaborations with national brands, like Pedro Lourenço, Osklen, Huis Clos and Triya. Parts of the new line hit stores Riachuelo in November with prices that are between R $ 49.90 and R $ 399.90.

The design of the collection is based on best-sellers and four prints of the era of Gianni Versace, as inspired by the seabed that he showed in a memorable fashion show for Summer 1992 in Milan. At the sound of "Suicide Blonde" by INXS and atmospheric "Love Rears Its Ugly Head" by Living Colour, an army of supermodels walked the runway sensuously: Linda Evangelista, Cindy Crawford, Naomi Campbell, Claudia Schiffer and Helena Christensen were some of the favorite tops of Gianni, reflecting the exuberance fri and appeal of the brand. The color stamping brings shells and starfish, among other drawings, which will be revised in part by Donatella in her collection for the Riachuelo. She had returned to the theme 20 years later, the parade of summer 2012, which makes the original collection of Gianni in the early 1990s hold his spirit increasingly lit and current.

Gianni founded his own label in 1978 and consecrated a style considered luxurious, sexy, glamorous and expensive. Her flirtatious dresses gained the name of "power dressing" and the lush aesthetics put the Versace - Gianni and - as the protagonist of fashion in the 1980s and 1990. There was no star at the time who did not bend to the creations of Gianni, plus a clientele of very rich women.
Gianni died at age 50, killed by Andrew Cunanan gigolo at the entrance of his home in Miami and the news shocked the world - especially the fashion. Cheerful, passionate about life and women, he built a legacy that forever marked the history of contemporary fashion. Since then, his sister and muse, Donatella, took over the creation of the brand and has always been successful in upgrading to Versace, respecting the brand icons created by Gianni, as shown by the line in partnership with the Riachuelo.

Oh wow, this is perfect. She's perfect for Versace. That brash confidence with the killer curves and flashy clothes all works well.
