Couldn't agree more, but at the same time I can't really blame them for that. After all it might be Donatella's idea of younger generations and that's their main audience now. However, this whole collection feels like Versace for Dummies, too. Everything here is so easy to wear and recognizable yet there's no attitude.

I think you have used the right word « attitude ». There’s no attitude and so the clothes are designed to respond to a market. It’s that instant gratification thing when the brand should have a long term vision.

I hate when I feel like a designer is chasing a customer and Donatella has become a pro at that. There are ways to do something beautiful, timeless, elevated that can appeal to young people.

What Christopher Kane did for Versus feels more elevated than this and we know Versace’s price point.

Im going to be his Lawyer everytime his name pop up to justify the Versace team’s laziness lol.

I mean, Karl was Gianni’s favorite designer but I would rather see a reference to his work at Chloe or what he did in terms of eveningwear than an endless reference to his early 90’s variations on the Chanel suit.

Meh. How long is this merchandising exercise going to last for Versace? I am guilty of buying things here and there from the brand but I don't see this ending well if they keep on this track.

That tribute collection was a blessing and a curse for Donatella.

It's sad that she isn't really offering anything these days in terms of design and a vision. I would rather a bad, what the hell is she thinking collection than what they offer now which is just "stuff".
