Versace S/S 2026 Milan

Sorry but Lorde looks awful in that too. The noodle posture, the graveyard face. I can't. That Versace look is one of the less offensive ones from the collection and she still looked awkward and cold.

The Thom Browne dress looks technically better and more sexy than that versace dress that's the point and it's on the same graveyard face and bad posture.

To say its lords fault that the versace dress does not work because she is not a versace girl is funny when Dario dress failed to look even versace in the show version.

The dress is just badly constructed on her period ...i dont go into her face nor posture etc because that's not the dress thats her.

Less offensive is still bad at the Lacma and she was the only one in versace so bad choice of Dario and team to even go for that dress and the way its constructed badly no matter if Lord beg for that dress.

Know your audience.

fair point. but do you think they were going for sexy? i don't follow her so i have no clue what her identity/image is based upon, but sexiness doesn't come to mind. she is serving silverfish in that TB look, not sultry siren–to me at least.

she looks awfully medieval in that versace look. that spool of wire top doesn't go together with THAT skirt.
If Lord felt comfortable in a pasty top at Met she feels to be sexy in her Lord way i guess :-)
i dont follow her i dont know.

But point is this versace dress the body part the corset underneath is making her bod more square even if she is not curvy that's what bonning construction is for ...you see in the show the waist is more defined even if not extreme.

The neckline is cut above her breast (bad), not as the show version right over top part of breast which helps to give more sharpness and less grandmother of the bride neckline.

The skirt choice was bad as there is not clash like the show version then they should have opted to make the full dress in the gold fabric per example as solution and not have this shein skirt underneath in poop color.

the proposition are off thats the big issue not the person how ever not versace or not sexy she is .

This is why actual muses and friends of the house are crucial and important. Waste of resources.

But I guess Nicolas is the only one with actual friends and muses.

That dress would’ve been better with chainmail or a beaded fabric with movement.

Versace also hadn’t posted to their main IG feed in almost a month
Yeah it looks like the whole company has been on statis since the debut show.
They had a collection presentation during PFW and then NOTHING.
Was someone from the company really thinking that collection would have been received well?
No holiday campaign this season also.
Between the rumors of Dario leaving and the lack of info from Prada, only god knows how terrible the next March RTW show will be...

I thought I had clicked on the JW Anderson and Dior thread by accident. I really did enjoy that collection he offered, but these pieces don't work when they should. She's a gorgeous woman and yet these looks do nothing for her at all.

Also the fact that they have not posted in over a month on the Versace instagram is interesting. I wonder what happens if the Prada deal falls through ? I hope there is a backup/Plan B in place ...

announced by Bertelli Jr. himself. "I will be executive chairman of Versace and clearly we will have to get to know each other better with all the people who are there".

Lorenzo Bertelli, the scion of Prada’s founding family and the group’s chief executive in waiting, will become executive chairman at Versace once Prada’s acquisition of the brand gets final regulatory approval, CEO Andrea Guerra told BoF’s Imran Amed on stage at BoF VOICES 2025 on Wednesday.

He will be much more involved in the Versace journey,” Guerra said.

Bertelli — the son of Prada creative director Miuccia Prada and her husband, the group chairman Patrizio Bertelli — is set to eventually become Prada Group’s CEO. No date has been set for that transition, Guerra said. Bertelli is currently Prada’s chief marketing officer and the head of corporate social responsibility.

Earlier this year, Prada agreed to buy Versace for €1.25 billion ($1.45 billion). The deal is waiting for final regulatory approvals and is expected to clear that hurdle the first week of December.

With Versace, Prada is acquiring an iconic Italian fashion house that has seen revenue and profit suffer in recent years under the stewardship of Capri Holdings, which in 2018 paid €1.83 billion for Versace. The label’s revenue has plunged by about a quarter the past two years.

“I don’t want to kill the patient while we cure it,” Guerra said of his plan for Versace. “At the beginning, stability is a very important word,” he added in response to a question on the label’s future leadership, on both the management and creative sides.

He declined to give more details on what the cure might entail.

“There aren’t broken things but there are things that have been managed for quite some time in a certain way,”
Guerra said.
“We have an opportunity and the opportunity is long term. I’m not expecting any kind of result, any kind of tangible result tomorrow morning. We have fixed certain milestones that are important, but it will take time and we have the patience. We have seen it with Miu Miu. We have the patience to do it so let’s go for it.”

After four years of explosive growth at Miu Miu, Prada aims to stick a soft landing for its sister brand as growth normalises. Miu Miu’s revenue advanced 29 percent in the first nine months of the year, a slow-down on recent quarters, but still enough to keep Prada from posting a drop in group revenue.

“We are normalising our growth [at Miu Miu],” Guerra said. “I think we still have a huge opportunity. We have entered a period of 24 months of [telling people with proposals for Miu Miu] ‘no.’ You know, when you are having success everybody is offering you something. That’s the moment when you have to resist. That’s the moment where you need patience. That’s the moment where you don’t need to expand your space like hell.”

On the wider industry downturn amid punchy price hikes, including at Prada, Guerra said he’d much rather focus on the other side of the value equation: desirability, creativity and innovation.

“If we’re talking about prices, we have failed on other issues,” Guerra said. “If I’m not able to sell you an emotion and we discuss pricing, then I failed on the first part.”

Patrizio Bertelli is preparing to take the helm. "We're close to closing Versace. I'll be executive chairman," the Prada group heir announced in the podcast "What Money Doesn't Tell," produced by Bloomberg News and Chora Media.

"Clearly, we'll have to get to know each other better, along with everyone we have. I don't think there'll be any changes for a year, and perhaps we'll continue with the people we have now, because first you have to get to know the teams, talk to them, chat, and have coffee,"

Bertelli explained during the episode. "For us, it's a strategic choice. We're not worried about anything, and I think we have clear ideas, and we've seen what we've achieved with Miu Miu. It will take patience and time, but the ideas are clear."

Interesting. So I guess Dario might stay for now. Although the wording very specifically leaves things open.

The houses are so desperate in their placements. Versace and Olivia Dean, I didn't see coming.
Also, Giveon with Balenciaga. They are soooooooo desperate to try to be cool, it's actually doing the opposite of what is intended.

Shouldn't Olivia be rocking something British? Like, isn't that the whole point of placements, that you align with the star and where they are from in a sense and then build out from there to go global? That's usually how PR strategy works.

This means Dario's staying and we're getting another late 80's Andrew Cunanan gay p*rn extravaganza themed collection, great.

the might be waiting for the person to come be available while they get to know the company and build the team.
even if prada speaks of calmness it never goes calm :)

also what he says so far is the storefront(nice window display does not mean, that's how he talks behind the store walls :)

with prada its best to see what they do not what they say :)

The language they use is astonishing. Phrases like kill the patient while we cure it are disturbing coming from professionals who are supposed to be managing a billion in economic value. It feels deeply unserious, and at this point I am genuinely concerned about the team’s competence and their ability to execute. The whole thing reads like a group of unhinged, cringe millennials who think it is clever that Versace is dying and that they nearly destroyed it.

miuccia’s son is another nepo baby. I looked it up and it’s true, he’s actually a professional rally car driver. how that translates into being a competent ceo, idk. Versace is dead in today’s market. Sad, I kinda liked their odyssey sneakers. Their shops are always empty. Black and gold rococo only appeals to whores, literally and figuratively.

You really need to search bit deeper than just trying to be right lol
Prada has always been a family business

Miuccia Prada (real name Maria Bianch) is the youngest granddaughter of Mario Prada founder of prada in 1913,
In the 1970s, the company belongs to the Prada brothers,

From 1978, the company passed from Luisa Prada Miuccia´s mom to Miuccia with shares to some other family members.(She has two older siblings, Albert and Marina)

miuccia herself did other things before joining the company time studying acting at the Piccolo Teatro in Milan. In 1978, she subsequently obtained a PhD in political science from the same university, so her sons also were allowed to do what they want and if they wanted in the future to join they could. i don't see the problem.

and one did 🤷‍♀️ he is training inside the company for some years now ...he is 37 years old now not a baby anymore versace will be his chance to prove himself before the big prada group ceo job.

funny you say the brand appears to whores but you liked their odyssey sneakers lol i think the real successful ones buy chanel and hermes not versace but i digress
