Versus S/S 10 Milan

Well, my curiosity about where the collection will go in the future is definitely piqued. I just hate that some of the things like the safety pins, lace trim, chain mail and that intense red are a little too obviously "Versace", you know? I wish that the results weren't so expected.

I really like it! ^_^

Although i must agree with Squizree about the flat ankle boots. The collection is really quite feminine so the masculinity of those shoes don't really "flow"

For some reason i thought that the collection would be a little more "Black" in colour and alot more edgy and rock n roll in style, but i'm glad they went with this instead.

I really like the vintage safety pin revival and i think Gianni would have been proud of this. Christopher (and Donatella) did a great job and i look forward to more Versus in the future.

Looking great. I see a touch of Gianni everywhere.
The shoes are great. My fave part are the red dresses and the last silver. Looks young, chic, modern, sexy and rock. Like it a lot and i´m glad that Versus is back.

^^ Love that pic. Dresses are sexy and feminine. Shoes are very interesting.
I only regret it wasn't a show. But, who cares? Collection is great.

These are good, very very good. I personally like the last 2 dresses the best and I love how consistent this collection is with mainly only 3 colors.
They're very sexy but classy at the same time. Such a great debut from Christopher Kane for Versus. Two thumbs up!!:woot:

I just love everything!!
Being the first collection made by Cristopher,I think he did a great a choice deciding to stay true to Donatella's aestethic,I'm pretty sure that after some collections(and good sells)he will start to make something edgier
My favorite pieces are all the red mini dresses and the one with safety pins, not crazy about the shoes though

I love the neoprene lace! Details like that are new at Versace, but something the brand really needs. This is so much better than Versace this season. Only thing that worries me is that Versus is supposed to be for the younger Versace customer, but the young clothes are in the main collection this time...

In total agreement. Some of the little dresses were almost identical to the dresses from the infamous 'Versace safety pin collection' from the 90's.
Maybe Kane is sticking with the tried and trusted pieces for their first comeback collection and after that he might stamp his own mark on it.
Altogether Versus is back and that's great but I will more interested in next season and hopefully they will have a full blown show.

I am in love with it
this is definitely what i was expecting...not too much going on, but still young and sexy as it should be
the palette could be a bit different though, just because it's summer you would want more freshy colours, but that's ok

love kane w donatella, great duo

Good first attemp but I was looking forward to something more punky!

What I love about this is how it manages to combine the more conceptual aesthetic of Kane with Versace's more abrasive sexuality- and in a really cohesive way. The flat books are the only real flaw in my opinion.

Maybe i'm the only one that finds this a sorry first effort. The designs are pretty weak, student fair at best. Many of the elements seem to lack finese or are just plain sloppy. I have a feeling this was rushed, Kane tried to crossover some of the cut out ideas from his own collection, wasn't entirely succesful for either. This certainly isn't going to save Versace.

Versace has already been saved.......the brand is super hot right now!
