^ they need to gather enough energy to really travel in time and go all the way back to the days when their image oozed glamour, before they became a tacky beauty pageant: the days of their show in Cannes, that would help them and it would be tiktok-friendly enough that there would be next to no backlash. Bond girls (1999), not orange sorority bimbos (2009). Plenty of models nowadays are in the former category (Irina, Imaan, Bella, Agent Provocateur's Laura Oganessian), but somehow they can't let go and had to opt for the one model that embodies the latter category in all its boredom (Gigi).
This progressiveness is worse because, for instance, they're now back to flat tummies, which is great, but their strategy to push the models that are supposed to provide the inclusivity touch into a team that clearly doesn't want them there, gets you disingenuous imagery such as that one shot of a non-flat tummy covered behind leaves lol. It might be more respectful to just leave them out if that's what they're going to do.
This company is just so helpless. I feel like the answer is right there, we all see it, and it's so easy to turn things around because it's a great time for bikini/lingerie labels and VS still comprehends a couple of generations that rely on their products, but they keep walking around like headless chickens.. it's almost like their only language was sex ring and without it, figuring out who they are (underwear brand) or what they actually do (underwear) sounds like quantum physics to them.
