Anybody interested in the "new" PS3 Super Slim?

Update: The slimmer 250GB PS3 model (in black) will be available in the U.S. on September 25 for $269, bundled with the "Game of the Year" edition of Uncharted 3 and a voucher for $30 worth of content in the free-to-play shooter Dust 514, according to the PlayStation Blog. A non-bundled version of the new 250GB console will be priced at $249 eventually; however, a Sony press release notes that only bundles "will become available at launch timing."

The 500GB model will launch for $299 on October 30. The blog also revealed a special, limited edition Assassin's Creed 3 bundle was in the works, but did not announce price. In a press release, Sony noted that Japan will get the white model and that "other regions and countries will follow."

I want one, I had the original, the one you could heat your pizza off.
But then I sold it to my cousin and was left only with the PS2. I want this one (the 500GB of course), and it's pretty cheap IMO.

Everyone anticipating Bioshock Infinite and the new Assassin's Creed might look into Dishonored. It seems promising in that same historical-fiction way.

I can't wait for the new GTA, but I'm regretting the fact that I sold my Xbox on eBay because I don't think my pc will be beefy enough to run it good.

I've got like 22 hours into Far Cry 3 atm. It's a b*tch to run on my pc, but it's a great looking game. I personally think the story is a little Hollywood for my taste, but just running around the huge islands, taking out outposts, and climbing up the radio towers, is really fun. You also gain xp for different things which allows you to unlock different weapons and perks, so you can pretty much ignore the main story just to level up. Overall, it's a really solid game!

^ How is Dead Island? I heard it's bloody and gory.... which only makes we want to play it more. I'm halfway through the first Bioshock and I have to ask: Am I a wuss for letting this game scare me too much? I have to take a couple days off between playing it just to compose myself.

^Dead Island is probably one of the scariest games I've played (although I am no fan of zombies ) I am playing Left 4 Dead 2 right now and those zombies are intense

Borderlands and Borderlands 2 are both amazing!! So creative and fun! I'm addicted to them both. Some other recent favorites of mine ate Portal 2, Heavy Rain, and the Uncharted series.

^^ Elfinkova, i totally get what you mean about BioShock!! No you are not a wuss haha I would get scared also haha but its such a good game and number two is great also. What have you been doing with the little Sisters? Saving them or harvesting them? I saved all mine. I will play it again soon and harvest them to see what kind of ending the game gives me.

Dead Island is also very good and too me it was really scary when the zombies ran at you or exploded! you must play it!! I got nightmares from playing it too much and seeing all the zombies etc hahah

I've rescued and harvested the little sisters while playing the original Bioshock, because I can see the protagonist swinging either way, but I only rescue them in Bioshock 2. It just doesn't seem to fit otherwise.

Has anybody here played the latest Tomb Raider game?

I was thinking about getting it because I haven't played a video game since Max Payne 3 came out and I'm really craving a good game. I was looking forward to getting Dead Space 3, but it doesn't look that impressive. I'll probably get it when the price drops.

^ I just finished Portal 2 the other day. I LOVED it. It was such an innovative game with funny, witty characters (GLaDOS was such a b*tch ) and I highly recommend it. I also bought Limbo awhile back. Beautiful little game. It's a simple side scroller but in black and white (very film noir) and set to an eerie yet gorgeous score.

I'm so excited for BioShock: Infinite to come out later this month!
