I just can't find a single thing to get excited about. I tried, but I can't.

The construction of each garment is beyond stunning, their pattern maker must be an ancient japanese God sent to earth to create patterns. Other than that this is a very disappointing collection.

Everything looks so heavy and so overthought, it leaves me entirely cold. I do like the second outfit. But this is a very underwhelming collection.

it certainly doesn't carry the same dynamism as their original foray in HC. (and if you've never seen their early stuff i highly recommend having a gander on youtube...phenomenal work)

i do think the attempt to emphasise construction and form,is nice,but i dunno if it's been the heavy influence of commerce in their work over the last years but whenever they try to be conceptual it doesn't quite bowl you over like it used to. seems like they've lost the unabashed creative magic they had in those days. and imo,the result looks a bit too much like an underwhelming comme/yohji amalgamation to me.

Couture is about expensive fabrics of great quality that are used to create clothes specifically for the wearer’s measurements and attitude. Couture doesn't necessarily have to be a spectacular artistic statement. Just saying.

yup ,i do agree with u. but beyond that Couture is ART . that's what my teacher told me. also JPG, Galliano & Lacroix said same thing. couture is a piece of Art.
