I have some pix from the 70s and 80s mostly. Would love to see more 60s scans but anything goes

To start us off - some 70s (and early 80s) April misc Vogue shots...Clio Goldsmith, Gia, Patti Hansen, Paulina Porizkowa and some UTMs.

I'd like to see more from the '60s and '70s. Most of mine are from the early '90s but I have some interesting finds that I could scan within the next few days.

I dug up some late 70s, early 80s stuff from Vogue Paris...lots of models here I don't know and a pix of Jerry Hall - did anyone know she is half native American? She certainly didn't work too hard on brining that out in her images but I think it's part of her regal qualities. She was fabulous...

Yay! So happy to see your scans, iluvjeisa! I love these last ones from Vogue Paris. That cover is so '80s...red lips and nails...you never see that anymore. The Christian Dior ad is amazing too--that hat and the overall color! I like the b/w eds a lot, too.

Can't wait to see more scans . Maybe I can find something on the net to contribute...

That cover is by Helmut Newton 1978 - it's the only of these pix that is from the 70s, all the others are from 80/81. I love the way Newton worked with nails, making them look like lethal weapons. He made his women look like vindictive, lethal vampires This cover is really prophetic - a precursor of the 80s.

Does anyone remember a website that used to be around called "Strike a Pose: Models of the 70s and 80s" or something like that?

It was awesome but unfortunately went belly up for some reason.

yeah...kinda silly...it's not like they ever do anything with these old pix. An occasional expensive coffee table book. I don't think crummy little scans like these will discourage people from buying those. Rather the reverse, actually.

Ah well.
