Yeah, I only buy jewellery, scarves or bags. I have ginormous feet, so find it difficult to find shoes, plus it sorta squicks me out anyway.
What do you all think of second hand swimwear?

Thank you ellesea and Crying_Diamonds!
I really love vintage shoes because they up to the 1950's had a more curved arch than today. That is much more comfortable and also more feminine and sexy imo.
However they are often awfully narrow - I really don't have wide feet at all but the older the shoes the more narrow they seem to be
I don't quite understand that because my grandma was born in 1901 and her feet were pretty normal.

Have you worn it IRL?I don't quite understand it either, because clearly the average foot size has changed quite a bit in recent decades. Could it all be nutrition?
Love the dress, btwHave you worn it IRL?

There must be academic articles on this, but perhaps in such highfalutin' language that we wouldn't be able to understand what the heck they're saying
^ Well, your experience seems to indicate proportions have changed, if your feet are averageThere must be academic articles on this, but perhaps in such highfalutin' language that we wouldn't be able to understand what the heck they're saying
My reasoning would be that if feet back in the day were stunted, a foot the same length as yours should have been both longer & wider.
Zarina, that black dress is gorgeous. I don't suppose you have a spare lying around that you'd be willing to part with?![]()
