I agree---Vitamin C is wonderful and so are Fish Oil pills and Zinc pills. Fish Oil will keep you skin plump and smooth--over time, and 50mg of Zinc will keep your skin clear. Horsetail is an herb that will strengthen your skin as well (and actually help your hair grow). Vitamin A will help with skin renewal too. of course getting these vitamins and minerals in their natural source, i.e. thru food consumption, is best. But, supplements are great too.
Retinol thins your skin over time, so you shouldnt use it daily. Reduce to every other day, and only at night. It's not something you should use in the AM, especially if you dont reapply sunscreen. African-American skin does have more melanin in it, obviously, but can still burn! So be a bit less generous with the Retinol.

Thank you for adding this to the conversation. I will definitely add these to my skin care regimen.
Take the Vitamin A internally, and rub the Vitamin E n the red mark. .
do you mean squeezing the vitamin E from the capsule and putting it on the skin? how often is it supposed to be done, twice or once a day?
