Ugh, dislike the new D&G ads strongly! The old ones (with Hye Park of course ) were so much better as they were much more colourful and attractive and not so dull 7th century Roman-esque in-a-public-steam-bath feel to it

It's interesting though, you know? I mean, the focus of every shoot isn't to make everyone look gorgeous. But sometimes the overall effect of an ad can just be kinda cool looking, as opposed to just pretty. It's kind of like how on the runway you can have crazycrazy hair and makeup and it's still visually appealing even if seen on the street would make you kind of go 'okay, -what-?'.

Hmm perhaps not, but in conjuction with the lighting, the wash out look, and set in general.. It's really not flattering.

haidaycie- Yeah, I think that's not just for ads but for anything in magazines of photos or really any type of media. It's supposed to push boundaries and try new things that may or may not be applicable in real life. I don't find the d&g ads appealing in any way though.
