Vogue Australia April 2007 : Katie Braatvedt

It reminds me quite alot of this July 2005 UK Vogue cover:

Yep, on first sight, it reminded me of that Lily Cole UK Vogue sitting as well.

A nice enough cover, very outdoors, and thank God, something original for once. If Vogue Australia made more cover choices like this - fresh and unexpected - I might start looking forward to hearing who's on them.

oooo Thanks for posting the July 05 cover Manuva, I missed that issue, I love the cover lily looks gorgeous and I love the Vuitton outfit!

I like the UK Vogue one better than the Aus Vogue one. Mind you I have been staring at a copy of Australian Vogue for a few days now so the great-ness of it has worn off.

At least it's a model and not a celebrity though.

Vogue Australia
April Issue

In a fashion season full of mixed messages – should you go short and sporty or floor- length and floral, opt for edgy metallics or pretty pinks and lilacs? – it can be wonderfully reassuring to ask the experts. That’s why your fashion bible has rounded up those in the know to interpret the new trends from runway to reality. But we wouldn’t be
Vogue without a bit of fabulous fantasy thrown into the mix – our April cover story is a feminine ode to the new fanciful florals. Also in this issue, Geoffrey Rush, Belinda Carlisle and Christopher Kane. And don’t miss Forever Young: the Vogue guide to looking younger, longer.

REALITY CHECK
Practical magic
Micro minis, day-glo, geometric silhouettes in futuristic fabrics and romantic ruffles – if you find this season’s runway trends intimidating, you’re not alone. Thankfully, Vogue’s own Charla Carter and Natasha Inchley are on hand with their takes on the new looks and how to wear them well.

ARM CANDY
It's all about the bag
In the last couple of years, It-bag syndrome has swept the world, infecting women of all ages and incomes, and leaving long waiting lists and general hysteria in its wake. Vicki Woods details the symptoms to look out for.

Floral Notes
Everything’s coming up roses this season as designers turn to earthly delights for inspiration – from petal-strewn dresses and floral prints to bouquet-inspired hats and intense backdrops of spring blooms. Petal perfect.

I'm a little surprised that when they finally go for another model cover, it goes to an unknown (relatively) 14-year-old. But that's cool, it's a nice cover and yay for Katie, she's a cutie patootie!

what of the contents? I havent bought AUS vogue in about a year or so, I think, ever since my addiction to russh grew! So, wondering... for this month, vogue or russh? which is better?

Russh is always better fashion-wise. But this month Vogue's cover is better!

I love Katie B! She's stunning!

SO glad to see a model on the cover!

:D

^^ It looks a little boring, almost Sasha/Gemma/Karen from a recent Vogue US with them in the woods as fairys in haute couture... I don't like the model though. Her face really bores me, but its better than I ever gave Vogue Australia credit for.
