I think it's maybe just the quality of the image?

Hopefully when I have the issue in my hands, Cate won't be so tanned and photoshopped.

It looks like it's just the quality of the image. It's fairly low res and they've even cropped of the B on Blanchett, so can't imagine they spent much time playing with the image's quality to be honest.

If the colour sorts itself out it when it's in print it might well make a good cover, it's nice to see this kind of outfit getting a cover.

Sadly nothing will ever make me believe the sandals in the second shot were called for. Blergh.

I've certainly seem worse post-production jobs. Although you'd think someone of Cate's beauty would even need retouching at all. The preview shot would of made a nice cover, I think. Vogue Australia aren't afraid to experiment with composition, so I think they could of worked that particular shot of Cate as the cover. At least Cate looks relaxed and more like herself there, as opposed to how.. strange she looks on the actual cover. I do admire the bronze (Armani?) suit with the matching masthead.

I really don't see how she looks terrible. I mean it's not her best photograph but still she looks good. That said, I think it's also the quality of the image. I bet that it looks a lot better in HQ.

Honestly.. You guys don't get sick of Cate? UK Bazaar.. US Vogue.. Vogue Aus. I guess I don't blame the magazines since they seem to have a country wide exclusive but still.

I would never get sick of her. But when I saw the title of the thread I was hoping to find something stunning and I didn't. The cover doesn't look good and the second picture is gorgeous except for those shoes, I don't like them at all, not with that dress. I hope to find better pictures in the whole editorial.
