While this may not be my absolutely favorite Ale cover, she is a welcome sight on the cover of Vogue Brazil after 7 years and we should all acknowledge a couple of truths:
1) She's a Brazilian icon (had the entire 400th issue dedicated to her and Vogue Brazil's 43rd+her 20 year career cover), and kicking off the year of their 50th celebration with this cover makes me think we'll have more supers in the coming months. Hopefully this will culminate in a supermodel with all of the Brazilian tops (not just Gisele who's been on the 25th, 30th, 40th and 45th covers) together!
2) Hate or love her, you can't deny that she's still working after 27 years and this marks her 9th Vogue Brazil cover and her 21st overall. She's certainly proved more times than not that she can model and sell (really well).
Personally, I love the gloomy elegant mood of the cover and the editorial is stunning. We've seen Alessandra at the beach thousands of times with crystal clear water and a blue sky, this is different and the mood it evokes is slightly dark and sensual, I'm here for it.
There are more gorgeous shots inside the magazine and the editorial is laid out beautifully if you have the chance to see it in print. There is one shot of her with a hat that is just SUBLIME.
