Could some of our Brazilian friends explain the importance of Minas in Brazilian fashion? I have read other reports of Minas in other magazines than Vogue Brazil and would like to know its relevance. Sorry for my ignorance.

minas has always been famous because of monte sião, an important producer of knitted clothes... people actually say it's the capital of knitting in brazil.
with this new event minas trend preview (which is very similar to spfw or fashion rio), the state is getting more relevance in the national fashion scene.
if you're able to read in portuguese you can find more information here.
