Vogue China December 2015 : Edie Campbell by Sølve Sundsbø

Since when the Chinese should take appreciation to a Western holiday? I don't think the reason "It's also not really festive and appropriate for December" is really appropriate.

When you look at every December VC cover since their inception, there's always been either a 'festive' or 'icon' component on each cover. Just a bit gutted that it's lacking this year, that's all. Also, my father works in HK and I've spent a few holidays there, some people do celebrate Christmas/holiday in HK.

Usually I cannot stand Edie, but she looks great in the cover shot, it's her gaze. The styling is awful, the position of those braces ruin the whole thing. The editorial however looks like another attempt to do a US Vogue jumpy jumpy thing. What's with that this month, first VI now this.

why Solve, why?! so they gave him that issue and said they wanted the same?

Solve's past work for this magazine is quite remarkable (photoshopping aside), but sorry, not mad about this. Especially not after I saw how painstakingly similar it looks to US Vogue's style edit. It's just ok, nothing more. Same with Ondria by Goldberg. I'm in love with Jing Wen's Victorian beauty story. It looks so dreamy. Though apart from the bonnets and rigid outfits, I'm not too sure what's so 'Victorian' about the make-up. Women from that era would never dare these looks here.

I love that Nathaniel Goldberg ed. Ondria looks very good and oh so expensive. They even managed to make that Balmain look not tacky.

These are Breathtaking!
Why didn't they pull a cover shot from here?!
I just don't understand how the most gorgeous pictures can be overlooked?

The eds in this issue are easily some of the best I've seen all season. Love the luxury, early millenial throwback vibe of Goldberg's set with Ondria...such sleek styling! Even Camilla and Hollie-May Saker (not a combo I'm into it on paper) deliver with that Dover-y story which has a lovely fading warm autumn feel to it.

some lovely pics! ondria's and the camilla akrans especially

I like the edit, but disappointed it's Sølve Sundsbø. This is so mainstream for such a talented artist.

This seems to belong here, too.
