Vogue China May 2016 : Victoria Beckham by Sølve Sundsbø

Yet another supplement-looking cover. You had Victoria and this is what you produce? And let's not even begin with that horrendous font they're now using.

I miss the OLD Vogue China where the covers had high energy and were 100% sultry. Their covers for the past few months/years are all icy and soft. Each month leaves me cold. They used to deliver the best covers.

There's more space on that cover than between Georgia May Jagger's front teeth.

They had the right elements, a great photographer, a great beauty and they come up with this ! I can't deal with this, the type is just so awkward alongside Victoria and the layout. Don't get me started on that.

 You're terrible!!

I think she looks lovely, but the cover and art directions looks half-baked. It might've been more impactful had they shot her on location.
With Victoria's business empire pushing ahead in China, I expect we'll see her fronting more Chinese titles.

I love this, sure its broing they keep doing studio shots, but she looks beautiful, the pose is not aggressive and god how i love seeing a full lenght shot of a cover subject. We got even thsoe great shoes here.

I would only change the hairstyle, because the make up is perfect.

She looks so awkward on the cover, with her head so forward. It's like she has no clue what she's doing and just trying different things but is still unsure of what is going to look like. I'm not a fan of all that white either.

I love icy covers but this is too much white for my taste (you can't even see the chair she's sitting on:lol:)
She looks uncomfortable which is the weakness of the cover. Victoria is a powerful and sexy woman and they come up with a really safe cover?

Is she wearing Valentino on the cover?

A friend works at her managment firm, and he says its shocking how many cover offers she turns down, on a global scale! Apparently she has a rule; "1 cover a year, by country" now, so they end up declining a lot of offers. (She turend down UK HB last year because she was on Telegraph lol) Which is an interesting strategy for a celeb in today's world. Only heard of Jolie doing this before, so its nice to hear that some of these famous women understand that you don't have to be on every damn cover to make a selling point!

Calling Rihanna

2016 has been a TERRIBLE year for Vogue China! Not a single good cover (Anja's was sort of 'decent', even if they looked like a Gusy Luz). The rest... blank studio shots and boring cover subjects (Gigi, Victoria, Sun Li, Gigi, Xiao...). What a snoozefest!

Absolutely agree, this layout is bad, the image is boring, too much white space, the font does not work : it´s all wrong!

Suprised to see her scoring many different Vogue covers around the world

Victoria seems very lovely in interviews/on TV etc. but on photos she ALWAYS looks grumpy :yuk:

It suits the clientele doesn't it

Honestly this makes me so sad. Not because it's an absolute disaster of a cover, but because i miss the way Victoria used to have life in her pre-designer career! She used to be able to be fierce in a very "posh" charismatic way. But now it translates as lifeless, dull and awkward.

Release your inner Spice, Vicky.

Great dress, great shoes, love the minimal makeup, so it's not the cover so much, it's her expression that's puzzling. She looks almost apprehensive to me, cautious. I don't know, for some reason it's bothering me.
