Without the weird mask or drawing on her face, it's actually a great cover. Love that the main focus is (should be?) on the dress. But Vogue China ebb and flow from cover to cover, I no longer know what they're about. One month you have something cheesy that looks like it belongs on the old Vogue Taiwan, the next you have a minimalist and chic cover like this.

I've voiced on numerous occasions that I loathe whenever a subject isn't looking out toward us readers but this is a prime example of how it can work beautifully. I love how the focus is sorely on the shape and volume of the dress here, and how monochromatic, fresh and stark the cover is too.
