Vogue China November 2021 : Liu Wen by Leslie Zhang

That cover is such a choice but the previews are breathtaking!

I don't know if you guys noticed, but it seems that the Chinese audiences (at least from the social media I guess) sometime have very different opinions on the magazine cover/editorials than many people here which I guess, from everywhere ?

it is not always but the frequency is noticeable.

maybe this noticing is too generic and subjective, but it makes me curious about how you guys' local people react to fashion images in general comparing with the others ? are the opinions always similar or often very different ?

I am especially curious about how it likes in Korea and Japan.

Proof that poetry is not a verbal art only, and that it often involves a talented-beyond-comprehension model.

Totally. I'm from Singapore and while honestly I don't know much about what my country really thinks etc. reading the opinions here can be really interesting. People really love the whole classic storyline of a cover and spread here whereas while I do appreciate it sometimes I just love how striking an image can be. Like my sh*tty criteria would be 'Is this enough for my phone's wallpaper' LOL. I know many also are really just content with seeing their favorite celebrities or stars featured but definitely such nuances into the story and art is not THAT common here in Asia imho

The editorial is amazing! I don’t love full body covers though

"Black Water" implies an understanding and interpretation of clothes unattainable to most fashion editors. It's a visual metaphor rich in complexity and meaning, far from pretentious and not without a sense of humor. In that, and despite appearances, it reminds me of Irving Penn.
