When you browse her website angelicacheung.com, you simply find the shocking words:
MARC JACOBS PROUDLY SUPPORTS THE FREE TIBET MOVEMENT
which is clearly from the label of MJ's product.

As we all know, Tibet is a taboo topic in china.

so, what's going on there?

Maybe she wants the people to know that a high fashion designer supports the movement so why not them? Understand that I'm going out on a limb here. The act itself is very cryptic.

I don't think she has anything against Marc Jacobs here but she's definitely against the government. :ninja: It really is a huge taboo in China.

Wtf leads you to that conclusion? Her magazine regularly features his designs for his namesake label and LV inside and on its cover. if anything it sounds like she is supportive of the movement lol

Marc Jacobs did a line a few years back called "Free Tibet" in support of the movement but a lot of people were enraged by this collection (it's still available on ebay if your curious as to what some of it looked like). Tibet is a bit of an iffy subject in China. I went onto the editor of Vogue China's website and translated what she wrote, it's not very good, but maybe someone else will understand it better then me (also, do you think Makejiabo is suppose to be Marc Jacobs?)?

Label the effect: Makejiabo of product support Tibetan separatist activities.
Makegubo Department of French brand LOUIS VUITTON creative director.
Ridiculous mainland solidarity with the Tibetan separatist the designers went berserk LV bags.
Not to mention the land "patriotism."
A collar tag car lines are so bad so skewed,
Such a "luxury" only mainland tourists to the perfect foil.

well, there might be something wrong, I still think that website - which is belong to a Taiwanese blogger obviously - is not Angelica Cheung's official website.

After reading it, I don't think the article is written by Ms Cheung herself, the article seems to be mocking people from Mainland China and the tone is sarcastic. I think the article also blame Chinese people for buying things designed by Marc Jacobs, who supports Free Tibet Movement. Here is my translation for the article:

"Labelling Effect: The product of Marc Jacobs supports Free Tibet Movement
Marc Jacobs is currently the creative director of Louis Vuitton. The funny thing is, people from Mainland China still support him and buy bags from LV designed by this designer who supports Tibet movement. Apart from their "patriotic" (this is written in a sacarstic tone) being, this product (meaning the label shown above the article) is sewn badly, only the Mainland Chinese can pull it off perfectly."

she's more questioning Mainland China customers' tastes and back-knowledge more than blaming Marc himself. but of course you can see easily how she despises him.

the only thing is this Angelica is based in Taipei, named 蔣安琪
and the EIC of Vogue China is based in Beijing, named 張宇, end of the rumor.
