Vogue España May 2025 : Úrsula Corberó by Elizaveta Porodina

To be honest, I actually like Elizaveta's work, but there are times when it's impossible to defend... That hair looks like someone bit it and a piece is missing.

In Elizaveta's defence, I think that comes more from the editorial decision / masthead design. If the G wasn't placed as it is, the eye would easily register the missing hair as blocked by the ragged edge of the hole.

Would magazine covers be improved if I looked at all of them through a hole in a wall?

I have to say, given what's going on elsewhere, I like this cover story more than anything else I've seen so far.

I love Elizaveta's work. Absolutely flawless and magical, always.

The outtake should've been on the cover.

Regardless, I love the editorial. She has that look that suits Porodina's style. Sorry, Ariana.

Flicked through my library's digital copy earlier today, it was under 200 pages, in the main editorial section, the cover story above is followed by the US Vogue Met Gala editorial, and then the section finishes with what seems like a shoot unique to Spanish Vogue, on the same level as that Lila Moss story from the previous month.

Aside from the cover story / Met Gala story, all the fashion content - including those editorials you get at the front of the issue - seemed very mundane.

For me, this issue would only be worth getting if I was in love with the cover story and couldn't get hold of that long Met Gala shoot in any other Euro issue, but I'm sure I'll be seeing it elsewhere.

They put an editorial shot as a cover. It makes me think that no ones cares to make a cover take like in the 2000s. The red font does little to this, quite eyesore. The inside has beautiful pictures, and I like them besides I always feel a deja vú with Ursula as VS cover subject.

Out of the three Spanish Vogue covers Úrsula Corberó has had, this is by far the strongest. I love the vintage vibes, and the colours. There appears to be some thought having gone into this, which I can appreciate.
