Vogue France February 2022 : Mika Schneider, Lola Nicon & Malika Louback by Charlotte Wales

Vogue France are already out in full force deleting negative comments from their Instagram regarding the cover! Someone must have been working overtime because there was a vast amount of critique the last time I checked.

Vogue France social media etiquette: the only thing worse than Vogue France.

I fear the days are long gone when a magazine's content would have compensated for a bad cover - these days, magazines put their main efforts/limited resources into the cover shot to get that all-important attention on the internet, then the contents limp into view a short while later, and no-one remembers them a month later.
I have to agree with you, unfortunately. I remember the days I wasn't thrilled by most covers yet could easily indulge with (some of) the contents. Now if there is one or two photographs that still manage to please me I almost feel relieved, it used to be at least one or two editorials before but again, these days seems to be gone and I spend less and less in magazines as time goes by.

Well, if they don't want negative comments regarding their covers, then they should give us something to praise to.

It looks like Eugenie scanned Vogue Hong Kong's drafts, looked at this picture, and asked their editorial team if they could give it to her.

Oh you guys make my day with all your comments....but yes this is a disaster in every way possible...the only good thing is that they feature models,BUT they portrayed in the dullest way possible even Grazia and Madame Figaro do better and i say this respectfully to them...and more surprise is that Edward in the end signed for this????.

We need to focus in the other Vogue's (the few "independent" ones) and forget this trash.

and Eugénie...send her back to Normandie...one way ticket train please. This guy Hugo i can't remember his last name is also cut from the same scissors....always praising Eugénie....and Pam Boy? hahaha so MEH.

It would have been better if they weren't smiling, with a serious model face. The girl in the middle has the best expression. With the open smiles it looks like a Pantene ad, and the colour in the background doesn't help. It screams commercial. Each girl still looks stunning, but all together is Sugasbabes. There's a cover with three girls that works great in composition: VI February 2010, with Daphne, Jamie and Agyness.

having it zoomed out a fair bit would have made a huge difference.

then the facial expressions: either they all laugh/ smile or they all stare/ give face!!!

So cheesy and it’s irritating

Braids on the black model and unflattering angle/eye makeup on the half-Asian model...is this what diversity and inclusion looks like for Conde Nast today?
Geez how dare you question their narrative?

Well, I'm afraid the issue doesn't get much better inside! The main editorial is like 5 photos, that's it. Reprints left, right and center. So sad.
