Vogue France October 2025 : Kim Kardashian by Anthony Seklaoui

They did not even try with that "editorial". Surprised to see Kim agreeing with all of that.

This feels like a filler issue.

If the theme is haute joaillerie, there are magazines which regularly produce dedicated supplements on this (UK Tatler, Vanity Fair), not to mention the monthly jewellery sections of some editions of Harper's Bazaar. They have the ability to constantly produce elevated shoots where you can really marvel at the pieces themselves.

If that's too boring, and you want to produce something with a bit more edge, there's no better place to look than what Vogue Paris did with their jewellery editorials in the past, and take things from there.

There's also nothing wrong with going for the 'big personality wearing big jewels'. Kim's already had her hands all over Marilyn Monroe's dress, so why not recreate something along the lines of moments from Elizabeth Taylor's many outings with her collection?

There's a thin line between this and men's magazine (the Maxim type).

To me looks something that current Maxim would do and not Carine's VP as Claire wants. Her poses and face doesn't appeal to the fashion magazine type at all😂 not even Vogue Spain did something like this.

I usually like Kim as a model and Angelina is one of my favorites, but 😅 what an awful editorial from each! What an awful issue!

i came here after not checking out vogue france's content for a while hoping for the best. sorely disappointed lol

I seen Kim mention how being on French Vogue was her lifelong dream. But, it's like, sweetheart- you dreamed of covering Carine Roitfeld's Vogue Paris. Instead, you got Vogue France in 2025 shot on, what appears to be, an iPhone 17.

Kim is overexposed- both photographically, bodily by sight and in the market.
She needs to take a break and be away so we can develop some type of interest in her again (for some that day will never come) but- Vogue France today represents the same watered down energy that American Vogue does.

Completely dull, incredibly boring and also just lazy.
You can hardly call this styling, Alastair - like, BFFR.

Allistair McKimm! You can tell its a straight man (allegedly) behind the creative direction
His girlfriend is Carin Backoff... hence the only reason she gets any shoots as no other magazine is dumb enough to commission her. As I think I said before, I wish Mckimm was my hubby. Then I could suddenly be gifted a career after wallowing in the shadows doing nothing for years.

The cover story looks like what we used to get during 2020's lockdown. Except what was relevantly unavoidable back then is pretty questionable today, like an unnecessary, meaningless trick.
As much as I like Angelina Kendall and her recent work (and overall body of work since she first appeared in magazines), I'm not hundred percent thrilled by this spread. Not liking the theme and I've seen her give more of her very own energy to a series.
This whole "thing" of a magazine looks uninspired from A to Z and, cherry on the top of the cheesecake, poorly executed.

My issue arrived today and a small detail I noticed is that the magazine now says "Vogue" on the spine.

First time Vogue has been on the spine since the Emanuelle Alt era, I think?
