Vogue France - The Cover Archive

Celine Dion should sue for that white shirt cover.
At least Dion is gracing a French Vogue cover. Such a talented singer and a world superstar, and not one good (or bad) US Vogue cover. If Dion was not stylish enough, US Vogue should have given her their famous "makeover". Shame!

It's all so bad, so all over the place, from the people chosen, to the layouts, to the colors, the placements of the coverlines, it's ALL WRONG ! Next ! Very very few covers are working.

Agreed! But Anna had her favourites and stuck to them for better or for worse.

Celine's is one of my least favorite issues under Trochu (touching wood to avoid bad luck after naming her 😅), but isn't her worst. There's so many lows that you can't pick the worst one... Under Claire, huh. Not a fan of her celebrities covers. The Kardashian cover and Addison's don't look clean, both give me dirty vibes. Miley's cover is a good picture but doesn't suit with the (old) French aesthetic. Gisele's cover is the worst among the model crew.

September 2024 was the last great Vogue Paris cover. MAS and Meisel did fantastic.

Claire’s tenure so far is quite lukewarm to me.
By using models, she is trying to recapture the energy of what Vogue Paris was…But in terms of POV, it lacks a clear vision.

I have come to terms with the Art Direction, layout and all. It works.
Her covers aren’t dynamic, her choice of photographers is not on the pulse enough for me.

Mario Sorrenti in 2025 has no business being the resident photographer for Vogue France!

Eugenie was all over the place when it came to her photographers but in reality, when you take some of the photographers and create issues with them, you have a good magazine.

For me Vogue France should have Carlijn Jacobs as the main resident photographer. Then Quentin de Briey and Julien Martinez Leclerc. They can have Veterans like Jansson, M&M or Sadli for the March, June & July issue. And then we can have the legendary photographers like Meisel and Roversi for the Christmas and September issue.

And yeah…No French celebrities?
I love seeing iconic top models but in the same year in 2025: Natasha, Adriana, Gisele, Joan, Lara…All shot by the same photographer who shot them 20 years ago. What’s fresh about it?

Don’t make me come for your job Claire!

These photographers would add someting visually cool to the pages of French Vogue.

Under Eugenie Trochu, even if the covers had have been to my liking, it would have been pointless spending money on a bundle of reprints that I'd already received via my UK Vogue subscription. I bought one issue during her tenure - September 2024 by Meisel.

The only issue I've bought so far under Claire was the Gisele one - and it was more for the contents than the cover. Although I do still look forward to something sparking my interest in 2026.

Same. I am looking forward to Vogue France in 2026, especially, the next spring 2026 collections issue.
