Vogue Germany June 2009 : Heidi Klum by Francesco Carrozzini

This is the way to do the cover with her and make it look least cheap possible.
I'm not sure about the eds... I only like b/w one so far.

Hours later and I'm still not happy. Received the mag, Heidi's face is just awful and it's everywhere.
Germany has soo many beautiful models right now: Kathrin, Julia, that new girl whose name I forgot but who's the bomb, Luca, man, if they want to support German models, there's plenty of them. I'd rather take Toni Garrn again.
It's just scheiße, that's all. I thought nobody even liked her anymore.

just remembered, her name is Karoline Wolter, right?

I am pleasantly surprised actually! I think she looks great and I like the cover.

I think its logical and ok to support 'ones own' models or big names in fashion/model biz but Id rather have an issue dedicated to german models, not just one. That would be less boring but still sorta 'patriotic' lol.

I wonder if there would have been so many people hating this without the whole world knowing Heidi "the person". :innocent:

Come on, she has got a beautiful face. In most of the shots I've seen so far she looks like a very pretty, very classy (how unexpected) woman. And whether you might hate it or you don't, she is one of the most successful Germans out there - probably one of the only German A-listers - is there any reason to don't devote an issue to her? I don't really care about her, not as a person, not as a model - but she indeed seems to look good in her eds from what I have seen so far. It's modelling, it's superficial. Judge her looks, not her personality.

Gosh, the whole issue with Heidi!? Ugh :yuk: I'm waiting for July already.

And I wonder what would Karl Lagerfeld say about that

i could care less about them dedicating this to Heidi whether if she deserves it or not (who really determines that anyway besides the people who hired her?) the photos look great and Heidi looks good enough for me, i don't think she's cheap just very commercialized, she's still got a gorgeous face..and i don't think it's too bad they dedicated ONE issue to her..it's not like this is something happening all the time..besides, i think this is one of Heidi's very few Vogue covers. (according to fmd1.com, she only has two other vogue covers..

French 'Vogue' - May 2003
German Vogue' - October 2000

that's NOTHING compared to the other supers who have 50+ Vogue covers..so i guess they're making up for lost time with an all heidi issue.

^I agree 100% with you!

She did have more Vogue covers though. But not that much compared to other supers.

What is the brand of the purple dress?

Do you mean the one she's waring while laying on the bed? According to vogue.de it's by Victoria Beckham.

I just googled her VP-cover - it's horrid! I wonder what the editors were thinking.

What I wanna know is How is Heidi cheap??? I can see why someone would label her annoying or what not but cheap?? To me she seems like a devoted wife and doting mother and successful business woman. I have come to realized that here on TFS anyone who is "down to earth" is cheap.

heidi always suprizes people, she has done too much commercial work that people have forgotten that shes a great high fashion model

absolutely true. it's funny how much people rely on their cliches in perception of what's hot what's not (and who definitely isn't) which, to be honest, is a one lame thing. anyway... i'm not that much familiar with Heidi's recent work, personal life or anything (really, i'm not interested), but what i see is a pretty amazing issue for German Vogue with a model that did her job really well. like it or not, but to me Heidi delivers in every edit and is it me or they all look a bit too good for what GV usually comes up with? i mean, that's a strong solid issue with strong edits. isn't that what really matters?

and i am terribly sorry, but... cheap? come on. that's just a one pathetic argument.

not sure if you know it but she doesn't belong to the era of the Supers B)

Heidi is a star in Germany and US, she deserves the whole issue and it will be a best seller, who cares Kathrin, Julia, Luca?¿

it's all about Claudia Schiffer and Heidi Klum, they are the divas of Germany.

The eds look great but I guess I wish there were some other models...Heidi being on the cover and having two eds would be sufficient. And people need to check themselves and stop calling her cheap. Just because Tyra and herself chose to make a name and further careers for themselves doesn't make them worse than faceless Imogen or Ymre.

that people is just jealous 'cause their favourite models are completely anonymous ^_^

Heidi is probably one of the most - if not the most - famous person to come out of Germany, so so what if they dedicate a whole magazine to her.
