Vogue Hong Kong June 2021 : Han Hyo-Joo by Hong Jang Hyun

I never understand covers like these. You put the word "Summer" on the cover, which conveys warm & bright feelings. Then you coordinate the most cold, un-summery photoshoot possible and use one of the images as the cover. What a disconnect.

I just came from the Vogue China and Taiwan threads....

and then there's this. Cursed.

Even if it wasn't for the ironical Summer headline, the images are simply bad. First one should've been scrapped and the second is a cheap jewelry ad. This edition simply can't seem to find its footing.

Almost like they are trying to hide how bad the image is by exploding the brightness on the midtones.

Atrocious. This doesn't feel or look summer for a Summer issue. The image, the layout looks cheap.
