Vogue Hong Kong September 2024 : Anya Taylor-Joy by Norman Jean Roy

Hum… I have mixed feelings about this!

This is... not good... can't Dior stipulate something better when they buy covers?

I like the first cover, I wish she would relax her mouth more though.
I love her so I don't mind the paid covers we've been seeing lately :innocent::blush:

First cover looks like bts shot taken by Roversi's assistant.

The lady's had too much to drink and is considering the logistics of sneakily weeing into her Dior bag. No-one will notice!

this beats the mall-jewellery-catalgue look of American Vogue's September cover by miles.

first cover had so much potential it’s a shame for that weird a$$ pose.

The mood on the first is good but something off about the pose and cropping. The last one would have been nice with a different colour scheme. Middle one is like a 2000s era country album cover.

None of the covers work.
I just don't see her being visually photogenic like a model.
She reminds me of Shailene Woodley: just not good for photos.
She may be a good actress on film though.
However the magic doesn't happen on covers.

I can't pin point why but she rarely looks good in print. She used to be a model but her look just doesn't translate well to photographs. Her expressions don't help, a bit too exaggerated and unnatural.
