Vogue Italia August 2009 : Linda Evangelista by Steven Meisel

I agree w/everything Luxx said earlier. Boring & irrelevant! As for Georgia May Jagger... I wish her the best but she neither looks like nor reminds me of Lara Stone in any way.

^Me neither. I will probably appreciate it more in a couple of months or maybe even a year.

I really do love this cover. It's my favourite along with that March 2004 with Lisa Cant. So 50s meets mid 80s bulky Montana and leather gloves. And of course, the graininess. The arched eyebrows. The dimensional effect caused by the crossing lines (if you know what I mean).

This whole Georgia May stole Lara's style is so bizarre. Lara looks like a child Brigitte Bardot had by Keith Richards, obviously Georgia May got her genes from Jerry Hall and Mick Jagger. I'm hoping those two will get a cover together to settle all this

that cover is absolutely stunning. not so sure about the typeface, but its definitaly more of a 30s or 40s quote than 90s. reminds me of blumenfelds work. I LOOOOOOOOVE it!!! buy 2 copies, and wait a 10 years, and im sure, there will be collectors who pay a lot of money for it.

Don't really like the cover and the eds look a bit boring to me. Linda is usually wonderful but not here.

seeing the larger size of the cover makes me like it more. :) i think the cover is very iconic. i mean, from the way it was photographed. :)

You said it perfectly!!!! Lara has the sultriness of Brigitte combined with the bad boy, could-give-a-**** attitude of Keith, while Georgia May has her mother's drop-dead-gorgeous fair supermodel features mixed with her father's wholesome, innocent-but-with-a-touch-of-naughty looks (back in the day anyhow )! And a cover with both of them would be fantastic! I'd frame it on my wall!
