Vogue Italia January 2012 : Caroline, Daria & Paula by Steven Meisel

such a eye-catching and kinetic cover.. January covers of VI are the bests!! And I'm so happy for Daria^_^

hate the cover! Feels very campy, it looks like a snapshot and there's way too much text + the image is already very heavy in terms of so many elements present together.

That's exactly the point of the editorial, though. It's meant to look like they took the shot from a home-shopping broadcast like QVC (or in Vogue's case, IVC). The concept is meant to make you notice how campy it is, so I guess Meisel is just doing his job.

I quite like it. Promising concept. Although I'm bummed that Caroline is relegated to the back. It's not fair becasue her part on the January 2005 cover was also very small.

I'm happy that Daria nailed this cover.

I love it, it's unusual, I love all the text & it's placement on the cover. I need to see editorial, to decide purchase this issue or not.

bit bigger

The lady in red really looks like Christy Turlington. Or if not her, my guess would have to be some other model who was huge in the past, something like that.

I like this cover a lot. There's something innovative to it. Perhaps because of the obvious reference to TV Shopping, et al.

PS: Didn't know that Trentini was part of the January 2005 cover.

There's something i find unusually appealing about this! I do kind of love it.

And regarding the girl in the background i thought for a second that it was Vika Falileeva or Anna J .

Oh my goodness this is genius.

I love it, with the concept of Net-a-porter brought on the cover it could have gone wrong, but it looks great. So glad Daria got it.
