it's Max Ortega so...no surprises here...

cause it’s not her real skin color..

She always had a lot of cosmetic work but the amount of concealer to appear fair-skinned and make her facial features smaller, the mega weird eyebrows (the definition of Eyebrow Blindness) and the tacky Audrey Hepburn parody she has going on as of late (from voice to movements).. it just makes her even more boring as a pop star/celebrity who is still trying way too hard to branch out of music but without any curiosity on the amount of imagery, history and room to be yourself that these new fields provide and cherish, if only you have something to say and aren’t always trying to be someone else in an effort to succeed.

It doesn’t help that this photographer is the Temu version of what Paolo Roversi was in the early 00s…

the concept is GORGEOUS, but the cover is ..... meh. Other images that didnt make the cover are way stronger. Ariana doesn't look great in general though and isn't very photogenic.. my 2 cents

I completely agree with you the concept is very interesting and I like Porodina’s style (although she continues to produce the same work) but Ariana simply doesn’t have the ability to pull it off. The cover is outshining her, this bold style with so many colors, requires someone who knows how to work in front of the camera and she simply can’t pull this off as she has no versatility. I’m honestly tired of this all “I’m a fragile butterfly” act, because we all know she was never like this.
Long story short, the focus is on the background and not her.
