Having an evening's wander through the Vogue Italia archives, do you think anyone would dare run an editorial like this today (leaving aside the rampant misuse of facemasks).

These were also the days when Gucci was still about sex, not socks

i only wonder what franca and meisel would come up with. no one really crosses the very thin line of political correctness in fashion photography nowadays. i believe it's not about shocking somebody in the first place but delivering a bold, exciting storytelling, that's just gone.
