What a stellar issue and what a cast!! So many GREAT models in one issue

^^^ “Stellar issue” was the standard for Franca’s Vogue.

We were so spoiled 20 years ago. So much content— and not just filler either but crammed with killer content: Rich, expensive production that amateurs couldn’t possibly copy— just inspiring and aspiring. The creativity and the technical skills required to produce such content was equal parts honed talent and laboured technique that required dedicated experience— not just anyone with an iPhone that enjoys selfies. And Liya— looking like 3 separate sirens in one shoot. Models mastered the skill of portrayal that was a standard. And it’s only the October issue :weeps:

Going through these old issue is an education. Swiping through the current-era of most Vogue feels like just going through random people’s accounts on SM. I still can’t believe such lazy— in both the lack of creativity and technical skills, subpar production that’s mediocre at best, is the standard in 2020. No effort and nothing greater to inspire and aspire to.
