Vogue Mexico December 2024 : Angelina Jolie by Dan Martensen

she looks really sad....like she got the worst possible news just before she walked on set

What I like about the cover and all of the photographs of Jolie is how real they look. All of the shots appeal to me in some way. I especially like the shot of the actress sitting in the trench coat with the gold bracelets.

I love the idea of her as a cover star. Must be the most massive cover subject under Karla's reign. Quite unexpected though, because the current direction is too focus on local talents and not people from other places (only a few exceptions). I can spot post production in the light, but her face at least wasn't retouched in such way magazines do. I like it just because it's Angelina. I can't wait to have it.

Boring, as usual. She's not as sophisticated as she thinks she is.
No matter what she does, she'll always just be a girl who wore Billy Bob Thornton's blood around her neck. Trash.

These look like outtakes. It takes skill to make Angelina Jolie look this bad.

Upon second look, that's quite an unflattering shot of Angelina Jolie. Not her best angle. Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott remain the best photographers to capture Angelina at her best. That being said, I like the colouring and the simplicity of it all...

On the cover shot she looks like she's about to yawn as big as I did when I saw this.

I'm genuinely surprised, how Vogue Mexico was able to get a brand new full editorial with Angelina Jolie, while Vogue US give her a digital only cover. When I opened this thread, I was ready to see a reprint of that digital editorial to be honest. Surprised aside, I'm not really wowed by this, cover shot is not her best angle, it almost looks facetuned.
