Vogue Netherlands April 2014 : Sylvie Meis by Paul Bellaart

Ugh, her, really. Yeah, this magazine is becoming too desperate. What a shame.

Pff who's the next Dutch celeb on that magazine ... Yolanthe ?? Zzzzzz

Sylvie is very beautiful woman but she does not belong on this kind of magazines
She belongs on the gossip tabloids! Now she is going to talk in Vogue about her private life AGAIN. We already know all the sleaze & dirty about her private life ... inclusive all the dirty details

This is Glamour & not Vogue at all

I dont know why Karin Swerink wanted a Dutch Vogue edition soooo freaking bad because she dont know what Vogue is

Oh
My
Gawd. Bye

Can't believe this comes from the Netherlands. A progressive country on many aspects.

Hate to admit it but they basically hit rock bottom with this. Chief editor went where role model Anna Wintour refuses to go, to front a goldigging gossip puss. Condé Nast is probably pushing for more euros hence the sell out but this is just dragging your Title mast through the populistic mud. See ya, wouldn't wanna be ya!

She's got every right to be on Vogue, just like V.Beckham (who first rose to fame as being a wag, not counting the SG days)..or just like any other Anglo-American celeb. I don't get it's always like this - US celebs are mainstream and ''okay'', but when it comes to local celebs sharing the same quality (whether it's quality or not) as worldwide famous VIP persons, they are shameful, awful etc.

Who is she?

She's a Dutch tv personality who's also famous in Germany but has been tabloid bait for the past year due to her dirty divorce from football superstar Rafael van der Vaart. Basically she is one of two Dutch versions of Victoria Beckham, sans the class (the other being Yolanthe Sneijder-Cabau.

I have to say, in all honesty, it's a pretty image and she looks good (what without the heeeaaaavy hair and make-up she usual sports) BUT she is Sylvie Meijs which makes it a tasteless cry for financial success. Maybe the 'New Top Models' feature can save this, but I doubt it.

HAHA...this is not good! Although I do like the use of colors.

Again a issue that you can not call vogue, its to much glamour magazine ( editor and chief she worked for glamour before, and you still can see that) . i meet karin swerink after so many years again in paris, she is the editor and chief for dutch vogue now. Wowww what a attitude she has poeff, its so funny that dutch people in the fashion scene always have this huge attitude, i really dont get this. If they would make great dutch vogue magazine i could understand the attitude a little bit, but till now there were only 2 oke issues. She also need to buy new clothing and more collour because she is Always wearing black, we can see she has a HEALTHY body but black is not working any more**She needs more collour to lighten up!! And every body on her Facebook pags is saying they love the covers and the editorials, but a few of them i know and they tell me how they HATE every single issue, but they only do this because they want to work for dutch vogue, its to funny*) I would never understand this, thank god im diffrent. But still afther 15 years im still in shock how dutch fashion people can be !!

Who is she?

she started back in the days as a host on dutch TV & became more famous with her wedding to dutch soccerplayer Rafael Van Der Vaart in 2005.

when he was signed to Hamburg's soccerclub HSV in 2005 they moved to Hamburg & became Germany's "beckham-ish" Dreamcouple.

until 2012 she was in the jury of "Das Supertalent" the german version of Simon Cowell's "Got Talent" franchise

since 2011 she's one of the hosts of Let's Dance (the german "Dancing with the Stars")

in 2009/10 she battled breastcancer & went through a messy divorce last year, as Mr-Dale mentioned.

personally, i think she's super gorgeous, especially when she's glammed-up, like she normally is on TV ^_^

if this cover is necessary, maybe not & i'm not interested in her story, again. i agree, this is so not Vogue

I dont know who she is, I googled and cover looks NOTHING like she does in real life.

She has a bad nosejob.

i don´t like this squirt-barbie and i don´t know anybody who likes her at all:(
she doesn´t belong on a vogue cover
are there no jobs in the Dutch TV for her :judge:

odd choice for a cover, i actually didn't even know she divorced him  guess it's not really been covered in the uk but i would much prefer a model...they're usually good at cover choices!

Emm..Am I too kind?I see nothing wrong about it.
