I like the cover, it doesn't have much "fashion" in it but I think it's great for a summer issue.

Wow what a quick demise. Mega and Preview are churning out better covers and content with less budget. So uninspired. Even the art direction is lazy.

Also, I don't even know who their target audience is. Cause I don't see the average Filipino reader buying this. There's a reason why Mega as well as Preview (even in its reduced digital form) sticks with local celebrities.

A quick shake up is needed. Otherwise, I don't see Vogue Philippines lasting long.

I browsed the digital issue, and it's giving NOTHING. The main editorial doesn't have a specific concept, even the styling lacks cohesion. The beauty editorial is the only good thing that comes with this issue, but that doesn't do anything.

It's Vogue Philippines yet all they can offer in their Spring Special are Gi-Seok Cho's Tomorrowland/Maximum City, an editorial with Ajok Daing (I haven't read the credits yet, but presume that it's her), an editorial that features two Filipina models I haven't heard of, and a summer beauty editorial that features foreign models.

Preview, if still in print, is more innovative than this in terms of what both magazines can offer. Even Mega, which I find tacky sometimes, can bring editorials that define the Philippines as a country.

Speaking of which, why can't they just cease Mega's print issues and merge its talents along with Vogue's? That way, they can have at least 3 more editorials that don't look like fan services to its international readers?

Nevertheless, Vogue is still better than Danyl's L'Officiel. After two years of collecting that magazine, it's blatant that they feature more Korean idols than actual Filipino talents on their covers. That is fan service at it's zenith. The sad part is that no one's complaining about it yet Vogue Philippines might receive another backlash on social media for featuring these models on its cover.

The contents are nice and sweet but on the cover, the girl on the left, I don’t think they way she sits is comfortable.

That close-up shot from the 'notes from paradise' ed would've been such a strong cover, IMO. It could almost pass as a VP supplement/summer cover under Alt. Wasted opportunity.

Based on what they've been doing so far, they need better Fashion Direction. Some of the photos needs serious editing and shouldn't been approved. The attention to detail and level of exactness is a concern for me.

Mehh :yuk: How underwhelming for a March issue Vogue Philippines is going downhill I only liked Chloe & H.E.R.’s cover so far the rest are

Rightly or wrongly, the fact that L'Officiel features more kpop artists than local artists/celebrities means that they have a targeted audience and are doing their best to cater to them. These covers sell well locally and internationally which is a win for print. Wish I could say the same with Vogue Philippines which, at this point, is nothing but a glorified instagram account.

Even then, the k-pop covers by L'Officiel are leagues better that what Vogue Philippines has produced ever since debut. They even managed to botch an Anne Curtis cover, who, imho, had a solid roster of covers prior to her Vogue debut.

I just received this issue today. Shared editorials are the weakest parts of the issue, but I like their bit feature about the indigenous Filipinos' beauty care as well as the barong Tagalog edit with certain respectable women of age.

Here are my scans:
