I always get a kick out of their covers, but I accept that nearly all of the Filipino users seem to hate them…![]()
I stopped buying this but it seems they removed the monthly Vogue Man supplement. Is there a reason?
I just checked out Mega's May cover with Nadine Lustre and honestly, I think it’s way more creative and stylish compared to what VPH has been putting out on their covers lately."Vogue Men" is still there. It's just greatly reduced to a handful of pages with short feature to bookend the main issue. Likely a cost-effective move due to no increase subscription/readership.
Just took a glimpse of this issue, and although the fashion stories look professionally, competently produced and shot-- with some high production value even, there's just something extremely dated and juvenile about their sensibility. Very curious how well this edition does because it's neither classic Vogue nor modern Vogue in its sensibility.
Isn’t Vogue supposed to be elitist though?Vogue PH gives off a pretentious, middle- to upper-class Filipino vibe that even bleeds into their YouTube videos. I can’t quite explain it but everyone there seems to act differently, like the Vogue title makes them perform a certain way.
