I know for a fact that motherhood is not a priority for a lot of women, and most people around my age rank their friends higher than their biological family. So I've no idea why Vogue is all of a sudden pushing this 'motherhood/family' propaganda.

The cover with Bette's family is gorgeous. Love that photo. First the Stella cover, now this. Well done.

The other cover is terrible and unnecessary.

They are insane if they think overpopulation is not one of the main culprits for the state this planet is in right now. Choosing to endorse "family values" - as if families can be endangered - instead of focusing on more pressing issues seems so tone deaf right now. I liked Stella's Vogue US cover for its subject and the focus on sustainability, but seeing the same concept twice in a row makes it much less effective in my eyes, and ultimately puzzling.

Just said this in the Vogue US thread but tying it in with sustainability/environmentalism is just lazy, boring and anachronistic as well.
