Vogue Spain September 2012 : Maryna Linchuk by Maciek Kobielski

The cover has somewhat grown on me, and it's only after I only focus on her face, which looks radiant tbh. What bothers me the most about the main editorial is that after looking at all the images, I can't tell who shot it. Some images look good, but then others look like a cheap catalog. Maciek's style is not in this editorial at all.

Beauty is in the eye of beholder and even with that in mind objectively Maryna is a very good looking gal no doubt. Whether you like her or not.

Never heard or seen in her interviews anything that could say she is "full of herself". Quite the opposite actually. She has that fierce look that may come off as she is haughty but its just the impression and the false one.

The cover is aweful, dont like it. Editorial is not up to me liking either (concept, photography...) Maryna is gorgeous though ! She is one of those gems who can rock any world of fashion be it vs or hf or anything else.

"Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and even with that in mind objectively Maryna is a very good looking gal no doubt."

You realize that you really contradicted yourself big time with that one? It's like you just said that even though beauty is in the eye of the beholder it is an objective reality that Maryna is how an attractive person looks. The problem for me is not necessarily that this train of thought is linked to Maryna, but the notion itself. Beauty is never objective or factual. Never. Beauty is a myth.

To keep this from going in the direction of the theory of aesthetics & beauty..

Personally, I do not like her face. That does not mean that she is not beautiful, she just is not beautiful to me (which is precisely what I stated in my original post). And it has little to do with the impression that I have with her; I don't like the bone structure of her face or her harsh facial features. She is okay for shoots like this (the main editorial) and I think she can look like a very cool girl. She's very much a model's model if you get what I mean..a good working model. She can pull off these type of vixen editorials very well, and I have also seen her pull soft and effeminate off..but I am not really left remembering something she is a part of. And I tend to think her print work is mainly strong when she is in shoots with multiple girls. But we all like what we like. A lot of people seem to think she is gorgeous and i am not arguing with them...

ETA: I really like Eniko's editorial the most as well..some shots make me think of Tom Ford's A Single Man.

It's great and surprising at the same time to see Maryna getting a Sep Vogue cover. She still looks so beautiful but geez... are they trying to write an article on the cover itself?

Eek I really dislike the "Belle de Jour" editorial. If anyone saw the movie they will understand the concept, but the execution turned out tacky and forced.
The concept is really fashionable, I don't remember seeing it before, though? I think giving Eniko blonde hair is what ruined it for, she doesn't look as good with the Deneuve hair. I so think they should have given the chance to another model (such as Sigrid Agren , she might not be as fit for lingerie though) who resembles Catherine Deneuve more or just kept Eniko's hair as it is.
Some pictures are nice and striking , in others the coloring is totally off putting.
Styling is so-so

Got mine earlier and I'm surprised at how thin the issue is. Nonetheless, the content is pleasurable, which is, I guess what I want from a magazine. Maryna's editorial is more desirable in person. The thumbnails didn't tempt me to click, I was afraid of being bombarded with activity and atmosphere. But the minimalism of Kristina's editorial compensates.

That Prada outifit doesn't work on Maryna..and why a US Vogue kind of style cover?

I don't like the cover. Really busy and Maryna... sorry. (vogue Spain, you could do it better, I know)
Imo the best editorial is Operación Dragón. It's awesome. I love it.

I really like Maryna's ed as she's one of my favourite models and I love F1! I like that they managed to get some of the drivers involved.
Also, my brother gets the official F1 magazine and there was a tiny picture of Maryna wearing that Miu Miu and the caption said something like they didn't want her doing their hair (she's holding that wheel knut gun thing like a hairdryer) :)
