Vogue Turkey October 2016 : Lara Stone by Liz Collins

Much better than her Netherlands cover :)
love the styling and brick wall.

I dont know, I feel that the fetishist outfit demanded a more intense hair and make-up direction. It looks like she just came from yoga, and tried on this jacket. It's still much better than Dutch Vogue though.

The styling is SO SO SO Cheap come on nowwww !! This is VOGUE geez! However her face is ok. But why is Lara back on Vogue covers all of the sudden? Is this the fashion´s industry fighting the Kendall trend on Vogue covers? ahahaa

Lara always look strongest, and at her best when she's more natural-looking

I like the flared nostrils, slightly open-mouth, and no-nonsense hair... it hits at the suggestion she's been doing some heavy-breathing, chest-heaving activity just before the shot...

Much more commanding than Lara's current cover of Vogue Netherlands, I agree! This is much more my type of thing, taking me back to Carine Roitfeld's era of Vogue Paris etc etc. The layout and amateur looking fonts need work but I won't complain too much. Nice one, Vogue Turkey!

The first Vogue Turkey issue after a very very very very very very very long time that I feel the urge to buy. This is so good. The rawness of the photo is so perfect. I love the gold logo, and how it intertwines with her.

However, that layout is a disaster. You don't need an expert to see that it doesn't work.

Never thought I'd see the day, but I actually prefer Othilia Simon's edit over Lara's. Indeed she deserved the cover over the latter as well. It's more interesting, and she's got a strong presence and bone structure.

Did they ever have a Turkish model on the cover? I dont remember. I'm not a big fan of Lara this is not her first time with Vogue TR I guess, I need an update in Vogue Turkey. They need something new. I would like to see more hip LA glam or Kate Moss effect style icons. I also like it when they use Isabel Marant cast kind models. I would love to see 90s models or millenium models on their cover fx. stephanie seymour, cindy crawford,Linda, carolyn murphy, shalom harlow or Aurelie Claudel, Fernanta Tavarez. or sooner or later they will miss these opportunities. Its their last calls. I want to see Vogue Turkey expanding the vision and ideas.I would also love to see LA glam such as movie stars. There are also many beautiful women in Turkey and they dont use a single one for the cover.

Yes, I'm sure Turkey's not lacking in beautiful women, so it's a wonder we don't see more of them on the cover. Maybe not every month, but it would be nice to swop the international models every now and again for someone who's a success in their own country.

I always thought Leigh Lezhark was Turkish, because she had their best cover EVER (imo, at least) a few years ago. But apparently not.
It's quite odd to see VT last this long without giving a cover to one of their people. Their competitors are doing it very often, but maybe this shun is whar makes them successful.

Leigh Lezhark is American. I love her from millenium hype blogs was it cobrasnake? she was always cool. I have her Vogue TR cover issue too and it was very good. I think Vogue Turkey never ever used a Turkish woman on the cover yet unlike Vogue UK for example they only mostly use British celebs like Alexa Chung, rosie huntington-whiteley, Sienna Miller, kate Moss and Victoria beckham like every year. I am not against they use brits I was bored reading articles calling them british rose in the article. So I stopped buying Vogue UK got bored of casting same British famous. Maybe they sell in UK like Jennifer Aniston cover sells in USA. The fact is Vogue UK has the best winter editorials.

I think Vogue TR decided that in the beginning to always use international foreign models and celebs not to be local but to be international. and maybe theres not a international fame claimed Turkish model on the planet enough for Vogue TR to work with yet. (fx Poland has Anja Rubik, Denmark has freja beha erichsen, UK has Rosie etc)

I've been complaining about the lack of Turkish people on the cover of this magazine for a while now. It's quite baffling tbh but whatever, they do book some of the biggest living models.

Great cover.

I have a message to Vogue Turkey. Please start working with your own actors/models. It's sad that they never use their celebrities. There are a lot of beautiful Turkish actresses who deserve to be on this cover (For example, Tuba Buyukustun, Beren Saat, Fahriye Evcen....)

^Hmm... better that they don´t start using celebs at all
I more than welcome turkish models though, are there any working steadily atm?
