Wedding Song for First Dance

LOL I've thought this out already, even if it will probably be 5-8 years before I get married. I even have a wedding playlist on my ipod

The Way You Look Tonight - Buble's cover
That's All - Rod Stewart
Til There Was You - The Beatles
You've Got Me Wrapped Around Your Little Finger - Beth Rowley
Flightless Bird, American Mouth - Iron & Wine
You Were There - Southern Sons
So Close - Jon McLaughlin

Well, I am getting married (in June...)

Right now considering "These Arms of Mine" by Otis Redding, or "Ice Age" by Pete Yorn...

Big U2/Depeche Mode fan, but nothing is striking a chord with me for this...

Any suggestions based on the above would be wonderful. :flower:

Erin, I love Ice Age, I love Pete Yorn, such a pretty song, it's calm and melodic. But I can't think of any U2 song that would work as a first dance unfortunately. I'm no expert on Depeche Mode.

We gonna have Take A Walk On The Wild Side by Lou Reed. Close contesters were I Can't Stay by The Killers and Transatlanticism by Death Cab For Cutie.

I think classical music like Canon played in a quartet of instruments (harp, piano, violin and harmonica) is very very romantic.

Hi irulan. No surprise seeing you in here. :)

Lou Reeeeeed... mmmm... very nice choice.

We've decided on "Ice Age" by Pete Yorn. My fiance (I can't wait till I don't have to call him that anymore... I hate the word!) cut out the middle where it gets fast, so it's a bit more consistent and it doesn't have to get awkward dance-wise. ;)
