Oh, I agree with nita-karoliina- Northanger Abbey is the worst of Austen's works, in my opinion. I didn't really enjoy reading that novel that much, and normally I love Austen.

just found out it's a sequel and i don't have the first book...i'll try to read it anyways, i hope it makes sense without having read the first one.
and i want to finish all the (many) books i started reading this year and never finished, before the year is over, good thing it's christmas break and i have a lot of time
i remember liking it too... it's the most traditionally "gothic" of her novels...
it's not my favorite of hers but i remember liking everything of hers that i've read... just isn't one of those stand outs for me
Just finished The Trial which I didn't expect to be so hopelessly depressing.
Keeping with the theme I'm about to start Broken by Shy Keenan which claims to be the most shocking true story of abuse ever told. Has anyone read it?
