I love that book, Slinky. I love "Hard Boiled Wonderland & The End of the World" even better, though. If you have not read that yet, you should. I think you will love it.

I am reading "The Napoleon of Notting Hill" right now, by G. K. Chesterton, and it is a riot! Love it, love it, love it. I will be reading more of his books very soon, I can tell you.

I have read "Hard Boiled Wonderland & The End of the World", it was the first book I ever read by Murakami and since then he's been one of my favorite authors. Someday I want to read the original Japanese versions.

"a million little pieces" by James Frey, which is probably the best book i've read in the past few years. He was 23 when he checked into rehab and had been an addict for 10 years. At times it's totally horrific but it's unputdownable!

"Brave New World" - Aldous Huxley

Recently, I read "Lolita" by Nabokov - loved it BIG time - and "Dr Jekyll and Mr.Hide" by Robert Louis Stevenson - too shallow, artificial and the writing is a bit silly. The plot is good, though.

Wild Sheep Chase is a good book. I don't know if you saw a page back, but I'm reading "Norgeian Wood" by Murakami. It's also a very good novel. I like his "positive existentialism", it's my philosophy as well. Definitely would love to read them in the originals (I read them in Russian translation).

I was reading this book and then i saw the broadway play and I adored it. The book has a slow start but it is very good.

Hey Everyone, reading good books is sometimes better than movies, here are a few good ones, trust me you'll LOVE them;

-"The Five People you meet in Heaven" Very nice book, gives you a new insight on life.....it really connected with me

-"Model- The Ugly Bussiness of Beautiful Women" by Michael Gross
Anyone who's interested in Fashion, models, runways, agencies, designers, and all the behind stuff this is the book for you. It is written my M. Gross (was report for the NY Times, and Ny Post). HE goes undercover into the business, tells you about the history, interviews with influencal models/designers, and talks about the drugs, sex, and scandals int he modeling world

-"The Poisonwod Bible" I didn't really think that it would be a great book (it was school required). The end is kin dof slow, but after the first few pages you will start to become VERY intrigued, and fascinated by it. Many different viewpoints and opinions in it.

-"Can you Keep a Secret" It's writen by a English author, very funny, comical, and in a way a modern comedy/romance. I loved it and couldn't let it down. It's witty and fun...

-"Thinner Than Thou" by Kit Read
I'm reading it right now, and am so FASCINATED by it. It is a new novel that ties in the worlds pursuit of perfection (thinnes, beauty, etc). It is such a COMPELLING story, the author is absulutly briliant in developing her characters and story. It's hailed by the NY TIMES, definatly a MUST READ for anyone in this age we are livin gin. It will give you a totaly new outlook and make you rethink many aspects of society and your life.
